ON SALE NOW! A birthday tribute in song, for one of Canada's greatest songwriters πŸŽ‚πŸŽΆ /// Brixxhouse Arts, in partnership with the Rio Theatre, presents JUST JONI, a live music and multimedia celebration of the music, lyrics, and visual artistry of Canadian national treasure Joni Mitchell - staged on what would be her 83rd birthday. The evening features many of Mitchell's most iconic songs performed live by a full band and vocalists, set against a visual backdrop of her own extraordinary artwork 🎨 and interspersed with video clips from interviews across her storied career. The band includes musical veterans Doug Thoms (Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Big Brown Beaver, Final Cut), Mark Richardson (Ophelia Falling), Paul LeBlanc (S**G The Band, The Tabloids), and Colin Furness (Anthem, Them Bones, The Def Leppard Thing), with vocals by Kyrst Hogan (Norwegian Cruise Lines, Radio City Rockettes Show), who also curates the show's multimedia elements. All have performed together in past sold-out Rio tribute shows with Brixxhouse Arts.

From Letterman's writers' room to your Wednesday night out πŸ“ΌπŸŽ¬ /// FOUND FOOTAGE FEST is back with Volume 11, hosted by Joe Pickett (The Onion) and Nick Prueher (Late Show With David Letterman), who've spent two decades combing thrift stores and yard sales for the strangest VHS tapes ever recorded. This year's haul includes a psychotic dollar store salesman, a catalog of unsettling porcelain dolls, homemade Bigfoot footage, and an 80s "miracle" treatment called Psychic Surgery.

Two accounting students turned unlikely psychedelic-punk icons get the doc treatment 🎸🀘 /// BU****LE SURFERS: THE HOLE TRUTH AND NOTHING BUTT traces how two accounting students from Trinity University in San Antonio found solidarity in their shared strangeness and launched one of the most radical, unpredictable paths in rock history. With a proudly unmarketable name, they became unlikely icons who inspired Nirvana and landed a number one hit. The film goes deep on the personal lives behind the chaos, featuring Gibby Haynes, Paul Leary, Teresa Nervosa, King Coffey and Jeff Pinkus, plus commentary from Flea, Dave Grohl, Richard Linklater and Thurston Moore.

What a story... πŸŽ¬πŸ’Έ /// Tommy Wiseau's original 2003 disasterpiece THE ROOM infamously burned through $6 million and months of shooting with no-name actors.THE ROOM RETURNS flips the myth on its head with a "reimagined" film based off of the original script. Filmed in under 12 hours on virtually no budget, THE ROOM RETURNS features Bob Odenkirk ('Better Call Saul') as Johnny (famously played by Wiseau in THE ROOM) and features Bella Heathcote ('The Neon Demon'), Kate Siegel ('Hush'), Greg Sestero (aka, "Mark" in the original film), Mike Flanagan (The Haunting of Hill House) under directed by newcomer Brando Crawford. Partial proceeds to benefit amfAR (The Foundation for AIDS Research) and Blue Collaborative.
