https://cfss.fcsuite.com/erp/donate/create/fund?funit_id=3801 Our vision is to blend the nostalgia of going to out to the cinemas, with the cinematic experience of a state-of-the-art movie theatre. Our mission is to plan, construct and operate a movie theatre in the City of Weyburn. The Soo Theatre has been the only movie theatre in Weyburn and has been closed for about 5 years. This has made it extremely difficult for families and friends to gather and watch new and exciting movies together. We want to bring back that nostalgic feeling of going out to the movies with your friends and family and experiencing movies on the big screen. The Weyburn Theatre Community Service Cooperative plans on demolishing the old Soo Theatre and building a brand-new state-of-the-art movie theatre on the same property. Construction plans to begin once we have hit our fundraising goals.

Theatre seats are being installed ✨A huge thank you to Young Fellows Club of Weyburn for rolling up your sleeves and helping with the installation. We truly appreciate your support!

Credit Union Spark Cinema is a community owned theatre, built by Weyburn, for Weyburn. Local businesses, families and volunteers have carried this project for years, and it’s wonderful to see it all coming together.

We have under $300,000 left to raise. Your gift helps bring the magic of the movies back to Weyburn, for the families, friends, and future generations who will fill these seats for years to come.
