We are very happy to share with you the full programme of our Film Festival – Portuguese Cinema Days in Berlin. 🎬

Over 6 weeks, every Monday and Thursday, we are bringing the best and most recent Portuguese cinema to Berlin.

In this 8th edition, there will be 12 sessions, many of them with the special presence of directors and actors, followed by a Q&A after the screening.

We’re making a grand entrance with ‘Dreaming About Lions’, a bold satirical comedy about choosing to be alive (or not).

For this great opening, we’ll be joined by director Paolo Marinou-Blanco for a Q&A after the screening.

You definitely don’t want to miss it, so save this post, share it with some friends, and don’t forget to grab your tickets!

See you at 18:30 on 26 October for a great night of Portuguese cinema, excellent conversations, and, of course, Port w**e. 🍷

Another hint, another film to discover! 🎬

Three girls, three very different personalities, and a childhood shaped by rules, punishment, rebellion and imagination.

Inspired by a classic work of children’s literature and by the unmistakable visual universe of Paula Rego, this film turns childhood into something playful, theatrical and sometimes unsettling. 🎨

Can you guess which film this is?

Icebergs, the acclaimed short film by Portuguese director Carlos Pereira, is now available to stream on ARTE. Premiering at the Locarno Film Festival and recognized at the achtung berlin filmfestival, the film is a moving portrait of loneliness and human connection.
