Das Pornfilmfestival Berlin ist ein alternatives, unabhängiges Filmfestival rund um das Thema Sexualität, Politik, Feminismus- und Genderfragen und das einzige Festival seiner Art in Deutschland. Seit 2006 laufen im Schnitt über 100 Filme aus aller Welt im Festivalprogramm, die vor allem weiblich-feministische sowie queere Sichtweisen auf Fragen zu Sexualmoral, Identitäten, Kör
pernormen, Moralvorstellungen in aller Welt und künstlerisch-alternativem Umgang mit dem Genre Pornografie zeigen. Von im Jahr 2015 erreichten 8.000 Zuschauerinnen und Zuschauern sind etwas über die Hälfte weiblich, insgesamt ist das Publikum hetero-, homo- bi-, trans*sexuell und queer gemischt und mit knapp 50% Besucher*innen aus aller Welt ungemein international. Das Filmfestival ist eingerahmt von Podiumsdiskussionen, Vorträgen, Lesungen, Workshops, Performances, Ausstellungen und vielen Diskussionen und Präsentationen rund um das Thema Sexualität heute. Das Festival wird ehrenamtlich von einem engagierten fünfköpfigenTeam, bestehend aus Filmproduzent*innen und Journalist*innen, in Berlin organisiert und findet in den drei Sälen im ältesten Kino Deutschlands, im Moviemento in Berlin-Kreuzberg, statt.

The Pornfilmfestival Berlin is an alternative, independent film festival that focuses on sexuality, politics, feminism and gender issues, and is the only festival of its kind in Germany. Since 2006, the festival has screened an average of over 100 films from around the world, featuring feminist and queer perspectives on questions around sexual morality, identity, and body norms, emphasizing artistic, alternative approaches to the genre of pornography. Since 2015, over half of the 8,000 viewers—who identify as a diverse mix of hetero-, homo- bi-, trans* and sexually queer—have been female, and 50% are international visitors from around the globe. The film festival is framed by panel discussions, lectures, readings, workshops, performances, exhibitions and many conversations and presentations on the subject of sexuality today. Founded by filmmaker and producer Jürgen Brüning, the festival is organized by a dedicated five-member team, consisting of Berlin-based film producers and journalists, and countless volunteers. The festival is held in the oldest cinema in Germany—Moviemento in Berlin-Kreuzberg.
