Escaping post-war Europe, visionary architect László Toth (Adrien Brody) arrives in America to rebuild his life, his work, and his marriage to his wife Erzsébet (Felicity Jones) after being forced apart during wartime by shifting borders and regimes. On his own in a strange new country, László settles in Pennsylvania, where the wealthy and prominent industrialist Harrison Lee Van Buren (Guy Pearce) recognizes his talent for building. But power and legacy come at a heavy cost.

A three hour and thirty minute biopic about art, history, money, s*x, trauma and concrete, it’s heavyweight in every sense: a monument to its own greatness that stands a good distance from anything else you’re likely to see at the cinema this year.

🐴 Freier Eintritt mit Pferd

Auf Schloss Falkenstein findet ein großes Pferderennen statt. Klar, dass auch Bibi und Tina mitmachen wollen! In der hübschen Sophia von Gelenberg haben sie eine starke Konkurrentin – und die hat auch noch ein Auge auf Tinas Freund Alex geworfen. Als wäre das noch nicht genug, versucht der Pferdezüchter Hans Kakmann, Graf Falko das süße Fohlen Socke abzuschwatzen. Am Tag des Rennens weiß Bibi nicht mehr, worum sie zuerst kämpfen soll: um den Sieg, um Socke oder um Tinas Freundschaft, die nicht nur durch Liebeskummer auf die Probe gestellt wird.

Als der Geheimagent Muska das Mädchen Sheeta zur Festung Tedis bringen will, werden sie von Piraten überfallen. Wie sich herausstellt, verfolgen die Piraten und der Geheimagent dasselbe Ziel: Ein Kristall an der Kette des Mädchens. Dieser soll der Schlüssel zum Geheimnis der verborgenen Stadt Laputa sein. Diese Stadt liegt auf einer schwebenden Insel und wurde von einem sagenumwobenen Volk erbaut. Nachdem es Sheeta gelingt, ihren Verfolgern zu entkommen, begibt sie sich auf die Suche nach der Lösung des Rätsels um das Schloss im Himmel.

Wenn Animemeister Hayao Miyazaki eines seiner Meisterwerk auf die große Leinwand bringt, dann sind einige Dinge garantiert: Eine Geschichte mit Tiefgang, spannende Charaktere, eine wunderbar gezeichnete Welt, perfekte Musik, große Emotionen und viel Stoff zum Nachdenken. Prädikat Must-See!

On his 111th birthday, Bilbo Baggins sets out once more into the world to seek adventure and complete his book. At Gandalf's behest, Bilbo leaves his beloved ring to his nephew Frodo. But when it turns out that the ring is the one forged by the dark lord Sauron thousands of years ago and now seeks to be found by its rightful owner, Frodo must embark on a dangerous journey to Sauron's realm of Mordor to destroy the ring.

The first part of what is probably the greatest film saga of all time introduces all the important characters in the trilogy. Nevertheless, this overwhelming film spectacle, in which Tolkien's fantasy world is brought to life, is not lacking in breathtaking action and suspense.

Potion of inner warmth | FSK 12 | ca. 150 min. brew time

Heat up 150 ml apple juice, 200 ml pure spring water and 500 ml sparkling ginger ale in a pewter cauldron, standard size 2.
»brass shows reciprocal effects with the caramel« hbp

Add 2 tablespoons of caramel syrup, 1 vial of vanilla essence infused with the light of Arcturus (→ see starlight infusion), 1 teaspoon enchanted vanilla sugar, 2 cloves and 1 cinnamon stick (cut with a golden sickle).

Stir counterclockwise until all carbon dioxide dissolves.

Strain into chalice, add a dollop of whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
