This very special Danish Comedy Thriller named "WELCOME TO THE MOON" just got selected for LA Comedy Film Festival, and you can laugh as well as shiver to one of the most raved about Danish films at the moment, when we screen the new theatrical version with English Subtitles on Sunday May 10th at 16.00 - and if you Mama got a funny bone, bring her along!

Director of Photography Dan Stilling will attend and participate in a Q&A after the screening!

On Friday the 8th of May at 19.30 we pay tribute to the former manager of Huset Biograf Børge Nielsen, who passed away on the 17th of November last year. Børge ran Husets Biograf and its associated distribution company for almost 20 years until the end in 2009.

DI48 Pres: BØRGE NIELSEN TRIBUTE & SILVER JUBILEE SCREENING: "HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH" (2001)

One of the films Børge brought to Denmark back in the day is "Hedwig and the Angry Inch" (2001), a film still shown once in a while at Husets Biograf, which we'll screen a crisp new copy of on Friday evening and dedicate the screening to the memory of Børge Nielsen - hope you'll come by to remember Børge and watch one of the films he wanted us all to enjoy!

On occasion of a special presentation of "The Great Silence" (2022), we have the director Brocks and the actress Diêm Camille attending to debate the films topics of guilt, faith, repressed memory, and trauma with philosophical practitioner and trauma therapist Nis Bjarnhof from the Mental health association Håb i Psykiatrien, who will also answer the questions you might have to ask after the screening - hope to see you there!

DI48 PRES: "WELCOME TO THE MOON" (ASKE BANG, 2026)

After 10 years in the making, 'WELCOME TO THE MOON' opens in cinemas all over Denmark today, but we had a blast pre-release screening the film on the 6th of March with actor / director Aske Bang, actor Stanislav Sevcik, and producer Christian Junget Madsen present after the kick off for Dive-In 48 Copenhagen Filmmaking Marathon!

So we have decided to screen it again with Eng. Subs. on Sunday May 10th at 16:00 in the upgraded version for theatrical release, so come by for this crazy Comedy Thriller ride once more at Husets biograf!

You might already know Diêm Camille for her role as the soldier Siberian in the Disney+ Series "Alien Earth", but on Saturday the 9th of May at 16.00 you can experience her as Sister Martha in the award winning and critically acclaimed debut feature "The Great Silence" (2022) by director Katrine Brocks, who along with Diêm Camille will be present for Q&A after the screening.

Tillykke Lone Hertz! I dag fylder den legendariske skuespiller 87 år - og hun gæstede senest Husets biograf d. 6. marts til forpremieren på DI48 PRES: "WELCOME TO THE MOON" (ASKE BANG, 2026) som morede og gyste Lone l lige mål, og efterfølgende kvitterede med at kalde filmen "modig". Den 10. maj kl. 16.00 vises den vellykkede debutfilm igen - selvfølgelig med engelske undertekster!

Congratulations Lone Hertz! Today the legendary actress turns 87 - and she most recently visited Huset's cinema on March 6th for the preview of DI48 PRES: "WELCOME TO THE MOON" (ASKE BANG, 2026) which amused and shocked Lone to the core, and she subsequently signed off by calling the film "brave". On May 10th at 16.00 the successful debut film will be screened again - of course with English subtitles!

Happy International Women's Day! Tonight Icelandic Movie Night and Dive-In 48 Copenhagen Filmmaking Marathon would like to invite you all to come celebrate this special day March 8th - a fixed date on this day for the last 105 years. The day was originally founded at The Second Socialist Women's Conference in Copenhagen at The People's House, which back then - in 1910 - was located at Jagtvej 69.

On the occasion the brilliant comedy thriller "WOMAN AT WAR" (Benedikt Erlingsson, 2018) will be screened at 19.30, and followed by a Q & A with the lead Actress Halldóra Geirharðsdóttir directly via link from Iceland!

This screening presents Jazbo Gross’ ongoing work with the Cinema Museum in London. Drawn from the museum’s special archive of 35mm movie trailers, the fragments of film provide the raw material for a new composition. The framed bodies of actors — once in service of specific plots — are here unwittingly reassembled into a never-ending ballet mécanique.
