78 years after the mass disposession of 750,000 Palestinians from their lands and the destruction of more than 530 Palestinian villages by Zionist militia, the Nakba continues today in its most horrific iterations.

Join us to remember those who have endured Zionist oppression in all its forms and honor those who continue to resist and fight in the name of freedom and justice for Palestine.

We will first be touring Aberdeen businesses who have signed up to the Apartheid Free Zone campaign to thank them for their committment and offering a photo opportunity with our giant Handala and Key of Return.

We will then be meeting at the newly launched Nakba exhibition at the Duncan Rice library, highlighting the role of Aberdeen elements in the Nakba, and the reflections and contributions of Palestinians living in Aberdeen.

Remember the dead, fight for the living. Free Palestine.

I think this simple sign is probably the most effective piece of protest art I've ever made. It really works. The police hate it, protesters love it. Everybody's happy!

It was inspired by posts by the brilliant Netpol about the role of "blue bib" police officers at protests, officially called Police Liaison Officers. I'd seen this species of cop at protests forever and for years had taken them to be a friendly, in-between liaison between protest organisers and the Proper Police. I was completely and dangerously wrong.

Blue bib cops are there to gather intelligence on the protest and on individual protesters. That is their primary role. Any protesters who don't realise this and talk to them can inadvertently give the police information that they can use to undermine, disrupt and prosecute the protest movement you have turned out to support.

The print files are available to download for free from my website ( https://www.spellingmistakescostlives.com/policeprotestsign ) or you can order a cost price large print from there too. I also want to screen print this onto pillowcases so they can be kept in a pocket and deployed over existing protest signs so you don't have to only be on blue bib copwatch all day and can pull it out whenever you see a gaggle of the fu***rs.

Someone who started bringing this sign to protests in Scotland told me the best story which proved this is a worthwhile activity. They had stood behind and followed some blue bibs all day during a COP26 protest, and towards the end of the day one officer took a photo of them and under their breath to the other cops said pointing at the photo "At least that's evidence to show why we didn't get any information today."

You can't ask for better encouragement than that!
