Moving Pictures are delighted to present our latest event - the Belfast Battleship...
The year is 2018. 6 years have passed from the fateful events that saw the brave crew of the USS Missouri defend earth from an alien threat from the Gilese System, in what is now known as “Incident 11”. Rumours of an imminent second alien invasion are being downplayed in global media.
Over 100 years ago, HMS Caroline was used to train sailors for life at sea, and as part of top secret global plan to ready all museum ships for a repeat of Incident 11, the crew have docked in Belfast to help a new generation prepare to face the potential alien threat.
Aimed at children between 6 and 14, and an uncle, aunt, parent or older sibling accompanying them, Moving Pictures invite you to join us on the 5 May, on board the Belfast Battleship.
The night will run with two different intakes. Squad 1 will arrive first, at 18:00 hours, and spend an hour and 30 minutes meeting the crew of the HMS Caroline, including Captain Chambers, Drill Instructor Barnes, Chief Engineer Eastwood and Spymaster 76, undertaking various activities on board, in conjunction with our crew and stewards, to help them train for life at sea.
At 19:30 hours, Squad 1 will join with the newly arrived Squad 2 in the main drill hall of the ship to watch a top secret briefing on the events of Incident 11, disguised as the Hollywood film 'Battleship'. After the film Squad 1 will be free to leave, and Squad 2 will depart for their tour of the ship.
Your world needs you. Will you answer the call, and let the adventure set sail?
