As Parliament resumes this week, perfect timing to share the best surprise shoutout: the launch Shuttle Shorts being announced in the House of Commons!

Genuinley this whole FNC thing was created as an attempt to better my community, so a mention like this is honestly amazing. Big thanks to Cat Eccles MP who's doing a great job of representing Stourbridge! And while I'm thanking the gov'r'ment, local counsellor Cllr Andrew Tromans deserves a big thanks for his support of the festival too.

Big thanks to everyone who's supported the festival so far, couldn't ask for a better reception, and remember the full festival is available to watch in full online now at FNCinema.co.uk/shuttleshorts

The journey is not over yet, stay tuned, there might be a bit of bonus track left...

Oh and once again, thankyou to the brilliant for recording these wonderful lil' idents!

We draw to a close on the 197th anniversary of the Stourbridge Lion: the first commerical steam train to run in the USA forged right here in Stourbridge. It's also international cat day! So when you visit the station today, to scan the QR code one last time, make sure to honour George, The Stourbridge Station Cat with fuss and treaties

“The Worm” 🪱 from Stourbridge visual artist and filmmaker Joel Foster Finn () is the penultimate film on our 2026 programme, now playing on FNCinema.co.uk/shuttleshorts 🚂

“You're ̶w̶a̶l̶k̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶d̶o̶w̶n̶ ̶a̶ ̶l̶a̶n̶e̶ ̶ riding a little train,
trying to outpace your problems
or escape your mind
but your brain isn't going anywhere
without you”

The Brief(case): “Travers’ Case” 💼 from Derby based filmmaker Joe Erickson- Kicukdurgut () premieres today on FNCinema.co.uk/shuttleshorts 🚂

Filmed in Nottinghamshire, a researcher is tasked with transporting a mysterious case along the banks of the River Trent. Evocative of an old Dr Who cold open, scan the QR codes on Stourbridge stations to watch along Britain’s tiniest train.

Which if you think about it, is like a Tardis… that only goes to Stourbridge Town or Junction… and and always in the present day… hmm..

Thanks Midlands Movies for the coverage on this one!
