Last chance to join us for what promises to be a fascinating evening as two of broadcasting’s leading figures discuss the rapidly changing media landscape and its impact on television, public policy, and culture.

Patrick Holland, former BBC Director of Factual Programmes and now Executive Chairman of Banijay UK (the world’s largest content producer and distributor), will be in conversation with Dorothy Byrne, former Editor in Chief at Channel 4 News and outgoing President of Murray Edwards College, Cambridge.

Last week over 80 filmmakers and creatives gathered at the University Arms Hotel for Royal Television Society East Centre Cambridge Film People event – Local Lens: Industry Tips for Success, in collaboration with Vine FX. Chaired by Brian Woods, the event featured insightful talks from industry professionals, including updates on a potential Cambridge Film Office and behind-the-scenes stories from filmmakers. The night ended with lively discussions and networking, making it our biggest Cambridge event yet—highlighting the region’s thriving creative community.

Organised by Vine FX and Royal Television Society East Centre with support from Cambridge Film Festival , the event was conceived to connect the creatives and future talent in the region to prosper opportunities and collaboration within the industry.
