Creative Cabaret

Creative Cabaret Creative Cabaret aims to bring a different kind of evening to the arts scene in Cambridge. It combin They met working at Christian Aid, London, 15 years ago.

We are passionate about the importance of high quality live performance – its power to transform and uplift. We are also interested in experimenting with new forms of performance, as well as creating unusual juxtapositions of genres. Creative Cabaret was set up by Charlotte Sankey and Lucy Alexander. Charlotte was the founding Editor of Cambridge Agenda magazine in 2002 and now runs the marketing

, journalism and design consultancy Creative Warehouse. Lucy is an experienced writer, marketeer and teacher, and worked at the BBC. We both feel that Cambridge has an excellent tradition of classical concerts, lectures, literary events and gigs, but that the art scene lacks edge. Creative Cabaret hopes to bring something fresh and little adventurous. Somehting to make you laugh, cry, reflect... all in the company of friends, and in the inviting atmosphere of a historic Victorian bar!

Coming to tomorrow's Cabaret? Here are a few practicalities:

The doors, kitchen and the bar open at 7pm.

Delicious chicken Rogan Josh and Moroccan vegetable tagine with couscous (both £6) will be served until 8.45pm, the end of the interval. Snacks on sale after that. And of course the well-stocked bar stays open til the end!

There are a few tickets left. Buy online until noon on Friday (£18/£10) from www.creativecabaretcambridge.co.uk, and then on the door (£20/£10).

WHERE: University Centre, Granta Place
TIME: 7.45pm. Drinks/food served from 7pm.
Arrive early to save a table. Ends
approx 10.15pm.
TICKETS: £18/£10 online; six for price of five
£20/£10 on the door
