TOKYO GODFATHERS

Tonight at 7pm is part 2 of our Satoshi Kon double.

TOKYO GODFATHERS (12A)

One Christmas Eve, three homeless people—middle-aged alcoholic Gin, transgender woman Hana, and teenage runaway Miyuki—discover an abandoned newborn while searching through the garbage, along with a note asking whoever finds the baby to take good care of her. The trio set out to find the child's parents.

🎬 Animation April is back — and this year we're celebrating one of cinema's true originals.

Satoshi Kon was a Japanese filmmaker who made animated films that felt like nothing else — twisting reality, blurring dreams and waking life, but always with real emotional heart.

This April we're screening two of his best:

Paprika (April 10th) — a sci-fi thriller about a device that lets therapists enter their patients' dreams. Visually stunning, genuinely weird, and a film Christopher Nolan has cited as an influence on Inception.

PAPRIKA (15)

Tokyo Godfathers (April 17th) — three homeless people find an abandoned baby on Christmas Eve and set out to find its parents. Funny, moving, and surprisingly warm for a film that starts in a rubbish heap.

TOKYO GODFATHERS (12A)

Both screenings at Electric Picture Hall, Chepstow. Come with an open mind — you won't need to be an anime fan to love these.

Friday night at Electric Picutre Hall HQ (by M&S)

South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut (15)

After sneaking into an R-rated film, the South Park kids spark a moral panic that escalates into a full-scale international crisis.
A profane, satirical musical that pushes every boundary while lampooning censorship, politics, and pop culture.

Suggested donation £4
