🎬 Animation April is back — and this year we're celebrating one of cinema's true originals.
Satoshi Kon was a Japanese filmmaker who made animated films that felt like nothing else — twisting reality, blurring dreams and waking life, but always with real emotional heart.
This April we're screening two of his best:
Paprika (April 10th) — a sci-fi thriller about a device that lets therapists enter their patients' dreams. Visually stunning, genuinely weird, and a film Christopher Nolan has cited as an influence on Inception.
PAPRIKA (15)
Tokyo Godfathers (April 17th) — three homeless people find an abandoned baby on Christmas Eve and set out to find its parents. Funny, moving, and surprisingly warm for a film that starts in a rubbish heap.
TOKYO GODFATHERS (12A)
Both screenings at Electric Picture Hall, Chepstow. Come with an open mind — you won't need to be an anime fan to love these.
