The Silver Screen Cinema is an independent two-screen cinema, located in the historic Town Hall at the heart of Folkestone in Kent. Built in 1859, the Town Hall was an original site of the first film screenings in Kent in 1896, before being used as a Cinema De Lux throughout the early 1900s. Closed in the 1980s, it reopened in 1990 as the Silver Screen Cinema.
