On Saturday 12th September, a rare chance to see the largest collection of cinema film equipment at Projected Picture Trust in Dean Clough!

As part of the Heritage Open Days project, we are opening our doors of our vast collection of cinema film projectors, our film archive, as well as parts, spares and more. Come watch rare archival film, learn about the dying art of film projection, and explore the history of British cinemas.

The Projected Picture Trust are hosting a Heritage Open Days event where you can explore the largest collection of cinema equipment in the UK.

Today is 100 years of the first Vitaphone release - Don Juan premiered at the Warners' Theatre in New York on August 6th, 1926.

The Projected Picture Trust have been delighted to help out The Hyde Park Picture House to keep them running 35mm, and make their film presentations even better than ever.

Out hard working volunteers sourced and fully restored two Cinemeccanica lamphouses which should keep going for years into the future.

One week to go until our AGM day at 10am on Saturday 18th, Dean Clough!

All PPT members are most welcome, and we will be open from 10am for people to view the collection, in G-Mill, Dean Clough. After a short break for lunch, the AGM itself will be held at 13.30 at the Crossley Gallery in D-Mill, Dean Clough.

If you're visiting us for the first time, here is an image which shows the main locations. There is plenty of free car parking either in the main car park (through Gate 1 or 9) then enter G-Mill via the loading bay at ground level. There is a smaller car park at the top of Corporation Street which is closer to G-Mill and you will enter at Level 4. Both entrances are wheelchair friendly. If you are arriving by rail then it is a ten-minute walk.

The doors into G-Mill will not be manned but calling 07866 732779 will alert someone in the basement that you are waiting outside and they will come and meet you and take you downstairs. Should you not have a mobile or could not get a reply a member will check both entrance doors every 15 minutes or so.
