It is with the greatest pleasure that I can announce two important events concerning both Norfolk Concerts, and Salle Church.

1) Agnes Langer will give a solo recital at Salle on Saturday September 23rd this year. her love for Salle has never diminished. She will come after the Bartok Competition and before she goes to Russia to play in the Great Hall in Moscow.

2) Anne Shih will return, after a long absence, in May 2018. For many of us this will be a special moment.

Just an update on Agnes Langer. Following on her brilliant recital at the Hungarian Embassy in London she is now just finishing a much acclaimed tour in Taiwan. She plays in Moscow and then London in October, and before that at the Casalmaggiore Festival. If anyone wishes a copy of her new DVD do contact me!

Norfolk Concerts will resume activity in October 2017 with new concerts and introducing new artists. Meantime Agnes Langer goes from strength to strength following on her recitals in London and Milan and we continue to mentor her. the music world is very difficult right now but we will prevail. Look out too for Anne Shih returning to the performing stage and more of Amelie Huang. meantime a belated happy New Year to all. Douglas Gowan.

Agnes Langer who came second in the recent Spivakov violin competition in Russia will be pplaying in London on October 20th with Giacomo Battarino as her pianist partner. She continues to get better and better, and sis now a finished artist.

Upcoming is the next Norfolk Concert presentation. It is a Chopin concert, entitled "Passion, Preludes, and a Piano", The piano is a Pleyel piano used by Cortot, and the concert presents the music Chopin wrote in Majorca, together with readings of the racy letters he wrote to his lover George Sand.

The concert is at 4 pm on November 14th at Houghton Hall. The artists are Rose Cholmondeley, Piano, and Charles Grant , Narrator.

Tickets are available from Prelude records (01603 628319), and cost £20 with seniors at £15, and under 18 year old youngsters free.The ticket price includs tea or wine on arrival, and wine or soft drinks in the interval.

We have limited seats to sell for this entertainment and do book early!
