Our next screening on Thursday 13th August will be a special 50th Anniversary screening of the classic "All the President's Men". Two green reporters and rivals working for the Washington Post, Bob Woodward (Robert Redford) and Carl Bernstein (Dustin Hoffman), research the botched 1972 burglary of the Democratic Party Headquarters at the Watergate apartment complex. With the help of a mysterious source, code-named Deep Throat (Hal Holbrook), the two reporters make a connection between the burglars and a White House staffer. Despite dire warnings about their safety, the duo follow the money all the way to the top. Winner of 4 Oscars. Free entry for KLCCC members, £6 cash on the door day members. All over 18's welcome. Please note a change to our published programme for our next screening on Thursday 9th July which will now be KANGAROO. This is a heart-warming family comedy about ex TV personality, Chris Masterman, who becomes stranded in an Outback town outside Alice Springs. There, he teams up with 12-year-old Indigenous girl Charlie. The pair form an unlikely friendship and work together to rescue and rehabilitate orphaned joeys in the remote but stunning Outback community - an endeavor that proves to be life-changing for them both. (There will still be an opportunity to see Sentimental Value which will now be shown on 27th August)

Set in modern-day Tokyo, the film follows an American actor (Brendan Fraser) who struggles to find purpose until he lands an unusual gig: working for a Ja'anese "rental family" agency, playing stand-in roles for strangers. As he immerses himself in his clients’ worlds, he begins to form genuine bonds that blur the lines between performance and reality. Confronting the moral complexities of his work, he rediscovers purpose, belonging, and the quiet beauty of human connection. Described as a 'sweet natured drama' and 'feel good' in the reviews.
