Dr Victoria Adams will introduce tonight the Deslocamentos Spotlight feature at the Leeds International Film Festival, kicking off with Joaquim Pedro de Andrade’s Macunaima. CWCDC at Leeds is proud to be working with LIFF on this exciting programme of Brazilian films

Macunaima is a vibrant and carnivalesque satirical comedy, an unusually playful highlight of Brazil’s fiercely political Cinema Novo movement and its first genuine Box Office hit.
