Not to be missed a double bill of French cinema at Maona Cinema 'Nouvelle Vague' (12A) & 'Breathless' (12A).

A playful, poignant love letter to cinema, Richard Linklater’s 'Nouvelle Vague' reimagines the making of Jean-Luc Godard’s 'Breathless' in an exuberant exploration of the youthful rebellion and creative chaos that shaped the French New Wave.

Screening on Saturday 21st Feb 4:30pm & Thursday 26th 7:30pm

Followed by the film that inspired Linklater & changed cinema forever 'Breathless'.

"Informers inform, burglars burgle, murderers murder, lovers love"

There was before 'Breathless', and there was after 'Breathless'. Jean-Luc Godard burst onto the film scene in 1960 with this jazzy, free-form, and sexy homage to the American film genres that inspired him as a writer for Cahiers du cinéma.

Screening on Sunday 1st March 2:30pm.
