Some of our volunteers met last night for a special screening and meeting at the amazing , thanks for having us!

We talked films and politics (obviously) and how we can bring some special screenings to Sheffield in and out of the city centre.

Stay tuned this week for our manifesto which will guide us in our work in 2026.

A big thanks to all who have gotten involved and supported Community Kino, it's still not too late to get involved, so if you do want to help or collaborate just get in touch. Thanks to Union St for having us

Join us for our first returning event of 2026 - a film screening of KNEECAP!

Doors open at 6.30pm and the screening will begin shortly after 7pm followed by a group discussion on the politics and themes of the film!

This event is at our previous venue (formerly Theatre Deli) Now - CADS, Cuthbert House, Arley Street, Sheffield, S2 4QP.

I'm feeling really energised after our 1st round of volunteer meetings yesterday, we had over 20 amazing people ready to use radical film as a means to building community, solidarity, education, and collective joy! ✊️ (sorry we were too busy getting organised and forgot to take pics!)

We now have a projector! This machine is getting ready to come to a community centre / village hall / events space near you!

We have lots of work to do! We are building a team of dedicated activists to facilitate political screenings in Sheffield. Get in touch if you can be of any help. We need help with funding applications, face to face organisers, social media, promotion, finding venues, programming, tech hands, and projectionists.
