Good afternoon,
I am looking to cast two actors in a University of York, Short Film.
These roles are unpaid. However, travel expenses and food expenses will be covered. The final production will also be available for personal use within a show-reel.
‘STATUE’S’ premise follows Sebastian, a self-entitled businessman, who becomes cursed and transmogrified into a statue, forced to spend his days watching life pass. His only hope of escape is to undertake an act of true compassion.
I am casting for the following two roles:
HOMELESS MAN (50’s) [MALE]: Really a Godly being in disguise, the Homeless Man does not suffer fools. He uses his other-worldly powers to place a curse on Sebastian, turning him into a statue, to match his heart of stone, and has little remorse in doing so.
OLD WOMAN (60’s +) [FEMALE]: A feeble and gentle old woman. She is exceptionally lonely and spends her day sat on a park bench longing for companionship.
- To note: Within the narrative, the Old Woman is mugged by a masked vigilante. This scene will involve a small choreographed fall on the floor.
LOCATION: York (Near University of York)
DATES: 28/02/20 – 02/03/20
If you are interested in either of these roles, please contact me via Facebook or the following email address: [email protected]. I will then happily send over a segment of the script for self-tape.
Thank you very much,
Rhiannon
