Previous events include BBC Gardeners Question Time, BBC Children in Need, Germaine Greer, Pam Ayres, Independent Ballet Wales, John Suchet, Tavistock Steam Fair and many more - the list is endless! New to the venue is live event satellite broadcast screening, featuring our high quality digital projection and state of the art sound - watch remote ballet, concert and classical events as they happen, from many famous venues.

RAILWAYS FROM LOSTWITHIEL TO CHINA CLAY By Bernard Mills
Monday 27th July 2pm

BERNARD MILLS: Railwayman of 57 years railway service, Bernard worked in the ticket office at Tavistock North for the last 18 months of the station’s life. He always took a camera to work and as a lifelong railway enthusiast has been photographing railways for the better part of 6 decades. He has written a number of books on railways.

TALK: The talk is a look at the railways that served the china clay area, some long gone, by way of a journey from Lostwithiel to Fowey and then over the former line to St. Blazey. We then visit Par Harbour to see Judy and Alfred in action including very rare pictures of Judy working the short branch to Par Moor. We then move on up the still ex-tant Newquay branch to examine in detail the now long gone and mostly eradicated branches to Carbean Wharf and Carbis Wharf, with some eye catching views of both then and now .

CODA - a Tribute to Led Zeppelin are Europe's most authentic and exciting Led Zeppelin tribute band, replicating the power, excitement and magic of a Led Zeppelin show like no other. They are the only proper four-piece Zep tribute band in Europe that looks and sounds as close to the real thing as possible, featuring authentic-looking and sounding instruments as well as incredible, hand- made replica costumes that will take you back to the time when the Gods of Rock ruled the world!

Every show features a fantastic selection from classic Led Zeppelin songs such as Whole Lotta Love, Stairway to Heaven, Rock and Roll, Black Dog, as well as Led Zeppelin live rarities such as When the Levee Breaks, Ramble On, Wanton Song and much more. The band can also perform a wide variety of Led Zeppelin's acoustic songs such as Going to California and That's the Way and every year CODA add more and more new songs to their repertoire. CODA's show takes it's inspiration from the studio recordings, as well as official (and unofficial!) live recordings to bring you the best of all facets of Led Zeppelin.

Formed by four musicians with a love of, and dedication to, the music of Led Zeppelin, this is no parody or ego trip, just an honest and true representation of the music of the greatest rock band ever, Led Zeppelin, performed live on stage with no tricks, backing tracks or safety net!

If you like your Led Zeppelin tribute band with big hair, all the stage moves and excitement of the original band, an incredible attention to detail unrivaled by any other Led Zeppelin tribute band, a singer with all the range and power of Robert Plant, a guitarist with all the riffs and groove of Jimmy Page,a drummer with the feel and power of John Bonham and a multi-instrumental bassist like John Paul Jones, this is the Led Zeppelin tribute band for you!

In 2018 CODA perfomed a series of three very special shows, including playing at the very first venue Led Zeppelin ever played, exactly 50 years to the day! These shows were received to great praise by hundreds of Led Zeppelin fans, including many who were there at the very beginning:

“Fantastic show at Gladsaxe from CODA celebrating the birth of Led Zeppelin 50 years ago.” Jerry Ritz, promoter of Led Zeppelin's first tour.
“The fabulous Zeppelin tribute band CODA from England marked on Friday Led Zeppelin's 50 years with a fabulous concert in the resurrected teen club…CODA were amazing. The same hair, same poses and same costumes…The more than 400 in the chamber had an experience and clearly expressed their enthusiasm. A worthy mark of the 50 years.”
Jorgen Angel, rock photographer who took the very first live pictures of Led Zeppelin. “A sincere and moving tribute by a group of excellent, nay brilliant musicians
who captured the spirit of the legendary group perfectly.”
