It's another grey and windy Saturday! How come we have fair weather all week but the weekends are decidedly more ropey!

Well be not afraid as our programme is 6 days a week so we've got you covered when you can't enjoy the British summer.

We've got family films for £4 & £5 a ticket and continue to show The Odyssey which is on track to be one of the biggest films of the year - honestly Christopher Nolan has smashed it out of the park again!

We're open a little later than we have been this week, but don't worry morning and matinees return tomorrow. The Odyssey (15) is still dominating the box office and we're nearly sold out tonight, it's so big I think for the first time ever the same film is playing in all 3 of our screens tonight.

We're starting the new adaptation of Animal Farm (PG) and all tickets for the run are just £4 plus we've started a £5 family promo offer with Moana screening today but that, Toy Story 5 and Minions & Monsters are all just £5 now as its a little into the run (they become cheaper to show)

It's been another incredible weekend of film here in Whitley Bay and we've got a whole day of widescreen entertainment ahead with the doors just opening

It's tinged with a little bit of sadness as after 11 years service our screen 1 projector 'old betsy the Barco' is being decommissioned tonight. After filling our screen with light and delight here for more than 60,000 hours she's getting replaced with a brand new laser projector. It's more energy efficient, deeper on colours and with enhanced dynamic range is really brining us into the future.
