This is one of many comments posted on the NLC planning portal for The Ark PA/2026/063.
'Seeing the pictures of the brickwork indicates to me that there might well be endangered swifts nesting here. The only way to find out is to view them actively using the site and this can only be done during May June and July, there nesting time. This is very important. Swifts are heavily in decline and likely to go extinct in the near future unless we stop blocking up their nest access points. There access points are often just like the pictures shown or perhaps nearer where the wall meets the roof'
