One of Ritter Uniform’s larger projects in 2024 was providing Soviet uniforms for the Cold War action comedy Mayday featuring Ryan Reynolds and Kenneth Branagh. Working with costume designer Debra McGuire, we provided historical supervision, fittings and dressing of Soviet uniforms for the scenes shot in Budapest, Hungary. For the Mayday Parade scenes, together with our Polish partner on this project, Hero Collection we assembled hundreds of different mid-1980s Soviet uniform sets, including high-ranking Soviet Army, Soviet Air Force and Soviet Navy officers, Soviet paratroopers, Soviet Naval Infantry, and Soviet Militsiya. Our uniform team, led by uniform supervisor László Ritter, were: Rita Szentágotay, László Farkas and Tamás Baczoni. This team did all uniform fittings for the Budapest leg of the shoot.
