Killruddery House and Gardens

Killruddery House and Gardens Nourish the senses in this calm, open space - an ideal environment for fun, well-being and creativity
(512)

Killruddery House & Gardens has often been described as a wonderful place to escape for a great day out and has been home to the Brabazon Family (the Earls of Meath) since 1618. Located on the outskirts of the capital where Dublin meets Wicklow, it’s a hidden gem just waiting to be discovered. In the 1820s, the 10th Earl of Meath engaged the services of architects Richard Morrison and his son Will

iam to remodel the house. Although the house was greatly reduced in the 1950’s, much of the Morrisons’ design and architecture still remains. Today, Killruddery House is one of Ireland’s most beautiful and successful Elizabethan-Revival Mansions and plays host to a varied calendar of events throughout the year. Killruddery Gardens are the oldest in Ireland surviving in their original 17th century unique style along with some 18th and 19th century additions. The Estate is a popular location for many well known films and TV series including My Left Foot, Angela’s Ashes, The Tudors and Camelot. Keep up to date with Killruddery by visiting our website

CHEERS TO OUR CHEF!

A big shout-out to Killruddery’s Head Chef, Niall O’Sullivan, who was Highly Commended in this year’s Food & Wine Awards under Best Chef Leinster!

Huge congratulations also to Adam Nevin, who took home the award, we’re delighted to be in such great company.

Given that Niall gets to show the full breadth of his skills every weekend at our Grain Store Lunches (Fri–Sun) and our Seasonal Suppers, we’re taking this as a huge win for him, and for Killruddery.

Under Niall’s leadership, our kitchen has flourished. His passion, curiosity and tenacity inspire us daily, whether he’s working with the gardeners and farmers to shape each menu from what’s just been harvested, overseeing food for the Farm Shop, or championing the creativity of our chefs and bakers.

We’re so proud of this recognition and of the incredible team that makes Killruddery’s food what it is: vibrant, seasonal, and from the heart.

Join us in congratulating Niall and come taste the reason we’re all celebrating.
- Grain Store Lunch (Fri–Sun)

THANK YOU, BRAY LIONS!

A huge thank you to our wonderful Charity Partners, the Bray Lions Club, for bringing such warmth and community spirit to “Boo Halloween” our Harvest Fête Weekend.
From pumpkin carving to friendly welcomes and seasonal fun, the Lions filled Killruddery Yard with smiles and generosity and together, they raised an incredible €4,000 in support of Childhood Cancer Ireland.

We’re so grateful for their ongoing partnership, for all who contributed, and for the chance to share our celebrations in service of such an important cause.

Oíche Shamhna shona daoibh and here’s to connection + creativity in every season. 🎃💛

Pale + Clear
Killruddery Cut Flowers was founded by Fionnuala Brabazon in 2019, who continues to root and dig deep (literally) for its success and it takes a village of Gardens, advisors, visiting florists and helping hands and we are proud of what our team have achieved this year!
