This month at The Little Cinema we’ll be having an Open Genre Night on Wednesday, June 24th!

Come join us to see everything from short films and documentaries, to sketches and music videos, all introduced by their makers on stage!

Let us know if you’re making something/ have something made for it so we can save you a spot. Try to keep films short so we can squeeze in as many as possible 🙌

Premiering TOMORROW NIGHT at the Little Cinema!

CHALLENGE: Make a film in one continuous shot.

Check out the rules for more info, some of you have done it before and it's time to step that game up one more time!

Doors are 8pm on Wed 29th April 2026 and tickets are available on our website thelittlecinema.com/tickets/

If you're making something let us know so we can try to keep a space for you.

If we get too many submissions we'll choose the films which pushed the boundaries and embraced the spirit of the challenge the most.

What a great symmetrical night last night of Wes Anderson themed films!

Thank you to the amazing audience who cheered on everyone and welcomed every film maker to the stage as if it was Wes Anderson himself!

And thank you to the filmmakers who went to so much effort to make the films for the night.

We should never take for granted the time, effort and love that goes into making the films, whether they are a 1 minute piece or a 10 minute one. Thank you 🙏

Our next night is the One Take Challenge, taking place on 29th April in Seven Bridge Street. So get your thinking caps on for that and we'll see you there!

Don't get bogged down in making something perfect, just make something....symmetric 😅 It can be on your phone or a high end camera or something in between, but the important thing is to make something.

Is it a bird...is it a plane...is it a stereotypical trope line that's overused in the superhero milieu? Possibly...anyways, we're getting off track in our philosophical tangent here.
