In a bid to reawaken the romantic within, we set out to explore the concept of a regular drive in cinema right here in Bangalore,India to make the most of the pleasant weather the city offers most of the year. During this journey, we realized it's not so

much about the movie being screened or the music being played or the food being offered... its about the experience as a whole: sitting in a lush green field, watching the movie you love, munching on the food you like.. all under a canopy of a billion shining stars, breaking away from the commotion of the city for a while. After months of meticulous planning and ground work and hurdle-overcoming experiences, our team has finally been able to realize this dream and eager to share it with everyone. Our Story

Growing up in the 90s, we were used to being outdoors quite a lot. Be it bicycle rides or games at twilight, evenings were mostly spent outdoors.

Nowadays, life has become increasingly virtual. We spend most of our time within the confines of our walls staring at a screen, be it our smartphones or laptops. Except for occasional vacations/long drives over the weekends, we've forgotten what it means to be outdoors under a starry sky, feeling connected with nature.

Albeit this isnt a new idea, has been a popular concept abroad and some occasional events happen here at home also, we felt it could be so much more than just an open air screening. A regular DriveIn Cinema destination with food trucks and dance nights, on the outskirts of the city, surrounded by farms and fields on all sides. One place where you could actually 'see' stars strewn above while watching your favorite movie.

People love the rustic, rural feel of the place and the chance to create their own little camps around the bonfires while watching a movie and then dancing in starlight. Yes, the movie is what pulls the people initially. It's only after they arrive and see for themselves that it's the experience as a whole that's charming: watching a movie you love, munching on the food you like and dancing under the canopy of a billion shining stars. What's heartening to see is that not just the young crowd, even families feel comfortable coming to Under the Stars, some with their pets, to watch a movie and shake a leg.
