This was well worth the wait. 🥹🐺

Since 2000, we’ve watched Hugh Jackman give his heart and soul to Logan, but the one thing missing was that iconic yellow-and-blue mask. Seeing him finally wear the Wolverine cowl after so many years was beautiful, and it felt like the perfect “final piece” of his legendary portrayal.

This is one of my favorite scenes in the movie because it represents more than just fan service… it’s a celebration of the character’s origins. The way the mask looks in live action, especially during that high-octane final battle against the Deadpool variants, proved that some things are truly worth the wait. It grounded the multiverse chaos in a moment of pure, comic-book perfection.

For those of us who grew up watching the original X-Men films, this was the closure we didn’t even know we needed. Hugh Jackman in the full suit, mask and all, is an image that will define this era of the MCU as we head toward Avengers: Secret Wars.

Frank really did care about Amy 🥹

Throughout the season, Frank is heavily involved with the character of Amy Bendix, and their dynamic is the emotional soul of the show. Amy was just a scared teenage girl with no guidance, all alone in a world of monsters. Frank’s fierce protectiveness and constant care reflected exactly how he would have treated his own children… proving that even a man as broken as Frank still has the heart of a father.

The hallway scene where Amy is held at gunpoint is the ultimate turning point for both of them. In a split second, she reacts—stealing the gun right out of the man’s hand and using the exact disarming move Frank taught her earlier in the season. It’s a chilling moment where his training saves her life, but the aftermath is devastating. After pulling the trigger, Amy doesn’t feel like a hero; she’s hit with the crushing weight of trauma and a massive anxiety attack.
The way Frank immediately drops his tactical guard to talk her through it shows a level of empathy we rarely see.

When he tells her, “His blood ain’t worth a single one of your tears,” it’s easily the most protective thing we’ve ever heard from him. It captures their entire dynamic: Frank taking on the world’s darkness so that a kid like Amy doesn’t have to carry it alone. He really did care about her well-being, proving that even the Punisher still has room for a little bit of light.

There’s a reason Daredevil Season 3 is considered a masterpiece, and it starts in the basement of that church.

After the building fell on him in The Defenders, Matt was a shell of himself. He couldn’t smell, he couldn’t track, and he was losing his edge. That scene with the Neti pot is gritty and real—snorting out the blood clots that were robbing him of his gifts—but the payoff is legendary.

Watching his brain re-map the world in real-time as he listens to the city and feels the vibrations through the floorboards is absolute cinema. Whether you call them senses or powers, the moment he “woke up” and immediately lunged for that punching bag, we knew the real Matt Murdock was back. He didn’t need a high-tech suit; he just needed his connection to Hell’s Kitchen.

For years, we’ve seen speedsters portrayed through slow-motion “time-stopping” sequences, but Makkari brought something entirely fresh to the MCU.

Why it works:
• Real-Time Velocity: You actually feel the kinetic energy and the sonic booms as she breaks the sound barrier.
• No “Road Runner” Legs: The VFX team used intricate digital doubles to ensure her running form looked natural and athletic, even at thousands of miles per hour.
• Combat Integration: She doesn’t just run; she fights at speed. The “after-image” effect where she’s in two places at once makes her the most intimidating speedster in comic book movie history.

This is how a speedster should look on screen… fast, flashy, and full of raw energy. Even four years after the film’s release, no other portrayal has matched the sheer weight and impact of Makkari’s speed.
