Salivating on the info of Vince Gilligan's new gift, Pluribus. Pluribus comes from the Latin word 'e pluribus unum', which means, ' out of many, one'. Gilligan fans & patrons will have that familiar jitter in the plexus as was the case while watching every episode of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, as they pronounce the title of this show!

Better Call Saul's last scene with the camera paning on an imprisoned Jimmy doing finger guns while looking at a walking away sad Kim, was dead weight on the mind and body. You couldn't come out of the scene even after the ending credits.
Actor Bob Odenkirk and BCS in its last moments too, really do a number on you and keep doing it even when you know that Jimmy McGill is an art of fiction. Face of that Jimmy stands true even when you know its make believe. There's a lump in your throat like when you eat a sweet potato and it doesn't go down your esophagus and you're choking and you need to drink water and you need to drink it.. fast.
Pluribus looks like that water to clear out that choke! Hope Netflix also streams it!
Wonder what the Gilligan mind has churned out now with Pluribus and how it wll engulf its awaiters, and loyal patrons.
After Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Pluribus has hyperventilated the curious squealing cats, left right and centre, up down and diagonal, in and out upward and toward.
We have been taken high and we are on the feline edge of the curiosity cliff and wanting to take a deep dive into the ocean of this new tantalizing Pluribus world.
Everyone should be able to taste everything that the Gilligan mind develops. It is indeed a gift, like its two preceding gifts, Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul.

This below is from the internet:
The "Pluribus" series is an upcoming science fiction drama television show created by Vince Gilligan, known for his work on "Breaking Bad" and "Better Call Saul." It stars Rhea Seehorn in the lead role of Carol Sturka, a historical romance author who appears to be the only person immune to a mysterious virus that has transformed the global population into content and optimistic citizens. The show is set in Albuquerque, New Mexico.Apple TV has ordered two seasons of the series, with the first season consisting of nine episodes. The premiere is scheduled for November 7, 2025, with the first two episodes releasing that day and subsequent episodes dropping every Friday until December 26, 2025. The series production took place over seven months in Albuquerque under the working title "Wycaro 339.
The series follows a genre-bending narrative in which Carol, the "most miserable person on Earth," must save the world from overwhelming happiness.Production started after the 2023 Writers Guild strike delay, with filming running from February to September 2024. The show is produced by Sony Pictures Television, with Vince Gilligan serving as showrunner and executive producer. The storyline emphasizes Carol's resistance to the pervasive forced happiness surrounding her, exploring themes of individual dissatisfaction amidst a seemingly utopian society. The series also features a mix of dark humor, psychological drama, and sci-fi elements."Pluribus" brings together Gilligan and Seehorn once again, following their successful collaboration in "Better Call Saul." It is positioned as a vast, intricate story with a personal touch, reflecting Gilligan's ongoing contemplation of happiness and contentment.

Actors get stereotyped for how they look, that is a given, and is an occupational hazard among other things. Its also the human age that has somehow gotten stereotyped on fiction. How a 50 year old must look or how a 34 yo must look also does get stereotyped and it has to fit a particular template, all based on how people looked two decades ago or how a particular group of actors look. We have kept that as a barometer for human aging on screen in films etc. What was the look for a particular age on screen has freezed over the decades, with a little tweaking here and there but nothing conspicuous.
With a healthy and a conscious lifestyle now there are 60 year old people/actors who look like 40, this is reflected in actors from all walks of life, rural or urban. Many look like they are in their late 30s. 50 year olds look like they are in their early 30s. But the look of the age 60 etc on screen has been allocated to a particular mould since many decades and that's good grief and despair for many actors, who are already confined and in their pigeon holes.
The look of many different human ages, or how a person looks at different ages on screen has been stereotyped for long. Role stereotyping is a noose around the neck for all actors. We each have to live with it, are living with it and have to bear the burden of that cross we lift all alone, on our shoulders, very few of us can change how we look. We cannot breathe. It is tiring and asphyxiating.
But stereotyping human ages needs to stop because people are getting more conscious about what they eat and how they live for medical reasons as well as aesthetic reasons, so how each human looks at different ages is different and cannot be generalized. And these ages shouldn't be put in a pigeon hole. Just like stereotyped actors are kept in pigeon holes.
There are 30 year old mothers/fathers who look like a younger/older sister/brother to their 17 year old children. There 45 year old men who are fathers to 23 year old children and they look like a younger or elder sibling. There are 50 year old people who have 10 yo grandkids and they look like their parents. The age old 'moma look' and ' popa look' " 'grandfather and mother look' cannot be a barometer now. It mustn't.
The human age must not get stereotyped on screen just because it is convenient. How one actor looks at 60 or any
age cannot be a template for how all actors look at that age. People age differently depending on habit and nutrition and other factors and it is unfair to stereotype age too.
This has to stop.
Age stereotype needs to have a funeral and buried six feet under.

With this the noose tightens further, doesn't it?
Dont tighten the noose so much. Please.

Peter Dinklage is such a wonderful actor. He plays the lead in this film on Netflix , She Came To Me, which is funny, wierd, and so humorous. There are castings which surprise you and extract that " Arey wow ye bhi hai isme? ! , kind of squeals and exclamation, from your vocal chords. Do not see the thumbnail or go to google to see who are in it or read about its reviews. Naah. JUST CLICK and let it flow into your eyes. Such surprises are good, esp in a film, in life.
Really liked it. Because it keeps the funny insulated from the what have yous, which spoil the humor index in any film.
Watched this film on the mini myni screen and I really wanted to see it on the BIG screen, not because the film figures any beautiful locations or people or great looking anatomies, or clothes etc or set design. None of that. Peter Dinklage and the cast and etcetera of this film does that to you.
Its a film meant to be cherished on the big screen.
Have been a Dinklage fan esp since I saw him in stellar film, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missourie. The class and regality of Dinklage and his performance and the gift of emoting that he has been bestowed wth, supremely towers and sky rockets over many actors good looking or otherwise and especially towers over his physical aesthetics which seem so inconsequential looking at what he does, what he gifts to the screen. Any he is really good looking. And he grows on you. He does.
You consume him as you see him. Its a really lovely performance. A performance you'd want to see on the big screen, because its Dinklage.
Netflix needs to promote this film. Its a funny film. And highly amusing. This film is an Dinklage gift to his fans and anyone who watches him for the very first time.

Watch . Thank me later

Gorgeous Jean Smart does a sensitive and smart performance in the highly enjoyable series Hacks on Netflix. You can watch her again and again. She'll always be in your limelight.

The way her face establishes any expression, is what only she can do and cannot be replicated. How she reveals what she is capable of in this role and as an actress, is remarkable and wonderful.
Many of us who were not really aware of her have seen her in the blink and miss part of the leading man's mother in the comedy film, Sweet Home Alabama, where she holds her own even in those small seconds of "oblivion". She's truly a star and feeds us such a magical mosaic of a performance in Hacks! It's legendary what she does and brings to this show. She gets your attention in a blink early on as soon as the camera registers her versatile face. You're more than attentive. A relationship is forged which never sours.

Hacks is a great show. It's funny and Smart brings along a classy humor with her acting. She's smartens up the whole platter with her presence. Dynamite even when she doesn't have dialogues and is reacting to someone else's cues, she builds a performance as towering as the Sequoia tree as you snuggle in its cool canopy, taking delight in its shade. And you are never snoozing. No

She's as gorgeous as the wonderful writing of this hilarious show. What is comedy without a hilarity which is set to occur and thrive in a natural way, never forced just for the heck of it? It's beautiful. A wonderful everything this show has and is a mind pleaser.

The background score doesn't harrass the watcher, thank god, and you want it to linger just like you want the show to linger on and on.

They need to put a spotlight on the dialogue writers..such funny dialogues. Some of them may have been Jean's improv or may have been adlibbed by her. Funny crisp dialogues which makes the viewer find visual creative joy in the outpouring of love which this show is. And you are snatching it like a hungry dog snatching the frisbee.

Hoping season 3 and 4 of Hacks are even better. Because this show makes you put its comedy and writing on a pedestal. It might just break your heart if you have to put season 3 or 4 below that pedestal.
You watch it, you appreciated its notable worth. Its highly worthy. You shook hands in a way with it and it needs to hold on to its level or even go higher up the ladder and promise us even deeper laughlines.
Because when you like a series, there's an unsaid promise to the audience of birthing an even better next season, the onus of which lies solely with the show. Thats the deal. A promise is made to it audience. We are waiting fingers crossed. And we want you to pass with flying colors.

Seinfeld in one of his episodes on Netflix' Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, remarked if it doesn't make you laugh and smile, it's not funny and it's not comedy. And that is true.
Hacks proves Seinfeld right, it's funny, it makes you laugh and smile. That's comedy and brilliantly evident throughout this series.
Gold!

The thing about eating with gusto on camera for a scene bc the.character is having a hearty meal, is fun to watch especially when actors do it so well. Jason Alexander aces eating on camera, like a King. He is the king of really wonderful acting..and on screen eating. You watch him and you get hungry, get on the go to invade your fridge and pantry!
Such brilliance in performance is like a gift. So uninhibited and pleasing, J.A is a gold mine.
There are many scenes in Seinfeld where his character is eating something or the other. It's an absolute joy to watch his munching and taking a bite with a passion of a hungry man savoring his meal and food. He is undeniably a wonderful actor and a ardent observer of actual people. The level of exuberance his eating accumulates is bountiful on screen and livens up the frame. You cannot avoid remembering him at all

Then he goes and does a beautiful U-turn in the show Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, in the beach scene where he plays a blackballed theatre guy from the 60s who ends up selling beach stuff in a shack.
A diamond of the acting frat and so easy on the eyes, there's nothing shy in his performance. Pleasing to look at, Jason Alexander's performance is a piece of beautiful cake! It enriches your time which you want to pass by watching something human and entertaining.
It is said, Robert Dinero gets rattled when he is asked by fans worldwide, to mouth the "You talking to Me" line from Taxi Driver. I am sure Alexander's fans would always want him to bite into some food to watch him chew for them or have a meal with him to actually see the character George which he played with such precision, come alive...and see him burrp! Probably he'd not oblige like Dinero : ))
What a treat.

The landlord is such a funny sketch. Will Farrell is the royalty of classy comedy. Clean comedy which attacks your smiling muscles does exist and it's in plain sight here.
The baby as a landlord that is funny in itself. This one feet viscera in a gurgling voice cussing like an adult is eerie and preposterous and there is that hilarity to this. But within this hilarity exists a reality, because when someone owes you and is not paying up, yes you are almost like this monster baby. Maybe more. The reality exceeds the hilarity as babies now days in those reels on fb etc do talk like matured adults wth those matured expressions on their tiny faces. It's almost scary as you watch those videos mouth agape. Yes many may have been tutored to do that. But the act of replicating itself is an adult thing, isnt it?
Here this cute tiny "talking viscera" : )) Pearl, the baby( whose also the daughter of the director Adam Mckay, who is acting with Farrell in scene one) reminds you of Linda Blair in exorcist. Linda Blair, was cute even in that ghost makeup. Her behind the scenes footage from that movie are very adorable.
One feeter Pearl Mckay, the baby , nails this landlord comedy. She's wearing that long dress and looks like a bulb with a hair patch on a small C stand which has a dress on. Talking light bulb with a hair patch. Farrell and McKay have coached her well. Its smart what they did. One feeter with a voice like a screeching loud whistle asking for money owed to it , from a 6 feeter, brings a smile.
Some say children being around profanity is bad and detrimental. But she was 20 months here and children in that age mouth words and forget about them. She was in a forgettable period, where babies don't remember anything. And people forget, children like adults learn from repetition, which forms habbits. They hop on one thing to the next and wash their days off with every drool and gurgle, not caring or really remembering the preceding day or hour. I am sure her parents have done right by her post the video. And she is not scarred. Face palm. Hopefully she has been nurtured into a non- cussing citizen of this planet
What a great video to be installed in by her father and stored for posterity for her by the internet, this is. It'd be lovely to see the behind the scenes and outtakes on this comedy, how they brought it on.
Comedy is all about antithesis and its showcased here so well. It feels like a physical comedy and has a vaudeville feel, and you can sense the funny music in this video and it has a sitcom feel too. Will Farrell and Adam Mckay are the elite of classy non offensive comedy.
This video throws light on what comedy truly is. It need not be offensive, or uncomfortable, having adult stuff, or flogging the dead horse i.e men wearing women's clothes talking in that pitchy voice caricaturising women or another m.o that of the stereotypical fat man or woman trying to get a partner, or the elderly person wanting to go on a date, which is the stale m.o for most content trying to pass up as " comedy"
Comedy is also not a morality or ethics teacher. If it is, then it's not comedy. If it ends up being a teacher as a by-product, great. But the other important product here is grins, laughter, chuckles.
Landlord is the comedy which makes you want to take that chilled water from your fridge and sip it, making you believe it's a high profile vodka! It's that enjoyable.
Enjoyable enough for you to go onomatopoeic many times over with that traditional, " TSK ".

Lalit. There is some magnetic thing about this name which made you sit in attention and especially so when actor Vinod Khanna introduces himself( Lalit) to Sridevi( Chandni) in the 1989 film Chandni, directed by romance god, the late Yash Chopra. The name Lalit was made for Vinod Khanna and or vice versa. Lalit makes anyone look glamorous. The perfume to bad body odour kind of a name.
It added a deferential stardom to the volcanic blazing screen personality of Vinod Khanna. The fire element in his character in this film was heightened with this moving impressive name. We hardly encounter such names in films anymore. Take notice names which make us crinkle our eyes and make you want to hear them again.

Vinod Khanna had played many glam roles before then and even after this movie (where his character was called Lalit). But Lalit stuck on him like stamp to glue. The name of that character along with him in it just swirled us around and mesmerised us further about Vinod Khanna and his buzz. Chandni the film has a huge following even now and out of that Lalit sprang to everyone's attention. It still does. You hear a Lalit and you immediately conjure up Vinod Khanna in your mind. There's a supreme quality about the sound of this name. It had a magnetic field. Had Lalit been played by any other actor, that character would still have the zing because it is a stand out name. Lalit gave Khanna the momentum which any actor needs to catapult him in everyone's memory, keep him alive, and hold that stardom in a warm embrace.

There was never any other name as glam and yet so matter of fact, as Lalit, was there, in hindi cinema? It's not frilly nor frivolous. It's a lullaby into drooldom. It'd make anyone look good on screen. It has a great audio presence. Chandni, the film, essentially made us want to see how Lalit makes Chandni fall for him and makes him swoon over her. That movie Lalit-ized us. After the film's hulabaloo had died down, 5 or 10 years after its release, an aging Vinod Khanna still retained that inferno personality all thanks to his character's name. It helped him keep the glamour quotient alive in him. The film is three decades old but his Lalit is still as fresh. There's no lull in that.

Post Khanna's intro as Lalit, Chandni the film became all about Lalit trying to win her( Chandni, played by screen goddess Sridevi). Vinod Khanna embodied the name Lalit so well. Characters matter, actors who play them matter. But when a glam character name like Lalit is adorned by a glam looking actor with a great on screen personality. It's a 100 on 10! That's it for us audiences.

Maybe the movie should have been named Lalit. It was Lalitastic what the name brought to the film, Chandni, and to effervescence of Vinod Khanna. Lalit was the light. The name did steal the thunder of the other actors. It was an elephant in the room which everyone knew was present. Vinod Khanna owned up to it well and it was well earned. Lalit crowned him as the undisputed king of reel passion and romance and the despair of unrequited love. Yash Chopra , the magician, did his magic on us wth this name.
Whats in a name they say?? A lot.
Rose by any other name would still smell as sweet?? Maybe not so Shakespeare. Maybe not so..

At the 3 star restaurant over idli dosa:
Well wisher: There is nothing like a small role---
Actor: ----yes well wisher..ok..I feel relieved----
Well wisher: ----- let me complete, actor...there's nothing like a small role, is true.. but if that project run time has to be cut then there is a high probability that that small role can become NO ROLE in the editor's lap. Which means ...you are not in the project... which means?
(Silence)

Actor: Date the editor?

Wellwisher: Noooooo

Actor: ( Thinks) Take a lot of pictures on set to establish your presence and post on social media when time comes.

Well wisher: Very good, Actor . You were not in the final product but were part of the product...very important. Clap.clap...exhibition is most important. You are exhibit A

Actor: Exhibit A? Means dead in English court room movies.

Well wisher: Your role is dead, Actor.

Actor mopes.
