In the recent past, after the invasion of the Corporates in the World of Entertainment - Independent Producers, Distributors, Exhibitors, Filmmaking, Passion & many more things related to Quality Entertainment & Cinema on the whole have b
een effected badly. Approaching these Actors has almost become impossible and this has killed the Independent Filmmakers all over the world resulting in making them struggle to approach the Actors as well as the Corporates/Big Studios to back the INDEPENDENT FILMMAKERS in making a Good Film. The Independent Filmmaker's plight doesn't end here, as they have got to release their film in the Cinema Hall and for which they have to go through the worst nightmare & that is the Exhibition sector ! After the Independent Filmmaker has managed to go through all the above and tries his best to acquire adequate number of Screens & Shows to exhibit his/her film, they have to again go through the grind, where a single person from the exhibitor's side, will be deciding the fate of this Independent Filmmaker. If this person, who is asked to pull the reigns is not biased then he will give adequate no. But if he doesn't like the Filmmaker OR any other BIG STUDIO film is getting released in that particular week OR if he thinks that no one is going to go and watch this movie then its curtains for the Independent Filmmaker ! The Filmmaker's fate is already decided 48 hours prior to the release of his/her movie and the Independent film hardly gets a show or two, that too at hours which no one's going to go and watch, the film will not get any projection at the BOX OFFICE WINDOW either because of the show timings he has been given. People coming at the TICKET WINDOW to buy the tickets are more likely to miss out the INDEPENDENT FILM as it is hardly seen at the TICKET WINDOW because of it's show timings OR projection at the BOX OFFICE WINDOW. So all the hard work of so many months & years of these INDEPENDENT FILMMAKER goes down the drain and that too just because of one illiterate and crazy person, who is appointed by the Corporates/Exhibitors to make decisions. He thinks that this film will not be doing well at BOX OFFICE. There are hundreds of examples of such INDEPENDENT MOVIES that are ruined/killed like this just because ONE PERSON from the EXHIBITORS side thinks that these movies won't be accepted by the audiences. Whereas if you go to ask the audiences, THEY say that - We couldn't even find the MOVIE anywhere in the THEATRES, we wanted to WATCH IT !!! Now, the AUDIENCES are there, the TASTE is there, the GOOD FILMS are being made since decades, the PASSION is there, the FILMMAKERS are there, but the TRADERS have ruined it all for the INDEPENDENT FILMMAKERS !!! The CORPORATES have turned MOVIES into EVENTS now !!! CONTENT is hardly there, ACTORS have become VEHICLES / CARRIERS of these EVENTS to the BIG SCREENS. And these EVENTS run majorly for the FIRST WEEKEND and then their magic GETS OVER ! Gone are the days when MOVIES use to MOVE and use to run for WEEKS & MONTHS in the theatres and many a times for YEARS, merely because of its CONTENT. But NO MORE... and sadly, NO ONES even bothered of the current situation as EVERYBODY is busy making MONEY !!! So MOVIES are hardly getting made and EVENTS have taken over and they are getting BIGGER and BIGGER with exclusive SETS and the so called STARS or A LIST NAMES. Hence, we, at 24 SEVEN thought of this mission of bringing back the INDEPENDENTS in a BIG WAY. We know that the task is uphill and we are starting it all alone, but we are sure to tread a path that will bring a revolution in the world of entertainment ! As the saying goes... a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step ! So here we are - 24 SEVEN takes it's first step !
