Stone, Susan Sarandon, Samuel L. Jackson, Edward Norton, Jessica Chastain, Hilary Swank, Sacha Baron Cohen, Claire Danes, Tim Roth, Roberto Benigni, Nicolas Cage just to mention a few. A festival that French maestro François Truffaut, deemed “The most necessary film festival of all” when he visited Giffoni in 1982. Giffoni is hard to describe in just a few words but if you try and imagine a tiny Italian village taken over by thousands of children and teens together with their families from every angle of the world, where different colours, emotions, culture and passion come together as one, you will begin to get the idea. A place where you will have no trouble finding kids from Israel, Palestine, Iraq, Afghanistan, Germany, Korea, South Africa and USA, to name a few, sitting in the same theatre to watch movies and discuss about film. No filters from adults and no professional film buffs but them.
