"Van Helsing" (2004) is a supernatural action-adventure film that attempts to modernize classic monster lore by combining iconic creatures like Dracula, Frankenstein's monster, and the Wolfman into one high-octane fantasy. The movie follows Gabriel Van Helsing (Hugh Jackman), a monster hunter sent by the Vatican to Transylvania to defeat Count Dracula (Richard Roxburgh), who has sinister plans involving Frankenstein's creation. Along the way, Van Helsing teams up with Anna Valerious (Kate Beckinsale), a descendant of a family cursed to fight Dracula.
