Filmhouse Limited is a dynamic cinema company set up to develop and operate cinemas in Nigeria and West Africa. Our cinema designs and operation style largely incorporates complimentary multifarious features including ‘iScream’ cafe brand, ‘soul food’ brand, Digital cinema, 3D, gold class cinema (in select locations), games arcade and kid’s club. Filmhouse achievement is driven primarily
by a strong experienced management team, innovative marketing activities and impressive guest service standards.
2010: Founded with head office in Lekki, Lagos, Nigeria
Founded with a vision to be the no.1 cinema brand in Nigeria, Filmhouse commenced development of a strategic plan to roll-out twenty five (25) cinemas over a six (6) year period commencing 2012.
2010/2011: Team coming together
The Filmhouse people are the key to our success. The management team has over 100 years combined cinema operation and development experience gained in England, Italy, Spain, USA and Nigeria.
2011: Signed up cinema development deals
Filmhouse became the primary cinema brand of choice for mall developers in Nigeria, and concluded strategic partnership agreements to develop cinemas for our phase 1 roll-out. Some of our development partners include Integrated Leisure Company Limited, Cross River State Tourism Bureau, Alpine, Carthage, SIO Group, Odu’a Investment Company, Bank of Industry Nigeria, Smoodypod Group International and STOA.
2012: Phase 1 cinema roll-out
Filmhouse raised its brand flag at the following locations (screen no) in 2012:
Surulere, Lagos (3) Dec 2012 - The Leisure mall, Adeniran Ogunsanya St, Surulere Lagos
Calabar (4) Dec 2012 - Marina Resort, Calabar
2013: Phase 1 cinema roll-out continues
Ibadan (4) May 2013 - Heritage mall, Cocoa Place, Dugbe, Ibadan
