The enemies within our security architecture

Above 👇👇is L/Cpl Jibrin, an instructor with his Army Battalion in Geidam, who disappeared for about 2 days. He was very popular with his colleagues and well liked by his colleagues because of his known competence.

He was however sighted among the Boko Haram Terrorists, that attacked Geidam last Sunday. The Battalion CO tracked his phone and he was pinpointed at a point in Gashua, hundreds of kilometers from his supposed duty post.

The Army authorities in Gashua was intimated and the soldiers spread their dragnets. Yesterday, Tuesday morning, L/Cpl Jibrin boarded a bus to Gombe and disguised himself but was identified and nabbed at the checkpoint in Gashua.

He was handcuffed and on interrogation revealed so many things. On transit to Geidam, Jibrin deployed his skills as a weapon instructor, snatched a gun from one of his escorts, over powered the other and blew himself up. His revelations however led to the arrest of some of his terror-brethren, while many are believed to be among the troops in both Gombe and Geidam Battalions.

Real problems already reside with and among our defenders and our military faces a lot of internal threats. This was the end of a brilliant soldier who was an asset to the Army until he got switched. He was even in the Intelligence Corps of the NA before becoming a weapons instructor. L/Cpl Jibrin was a Babur from Biu .

Jide Kosoko said he is supporting President Tinubu, and Obidient people immediately started attacking and insulting him.

When will this kind of politics stop? When will some people stop attacking others simply because they made a different political choice?

Everyone has the constitutional right to support any candidate or political party without being bullied or harassed.

I also found it interesting when Jide Kosoko said he knows some of these online activists who publicly present themselves one way but privately associate with politicians.

Let's learn to respect people's political choices.

Democracy is about persuasion, not intimidation.

You don't have to agree with someone's opinion, but you should be able to respect their right to have one.

Built to be the heart of Nigeria’s industrial revolution, Ajaokuta has sat idle for nearly half a century. Billions were spent. Committees came and went. But no gas, no steel.

With gas secured, the last major obstacle to production has been removed.

BREAKING:‼️ "NIGERIA 🇳🇬 GEO-POLITICAL ZONE BILL 2026

[1] As of October 1 2026, Nigeria’s six geo-political zones will become official and constitutional organs of government. This means that there will be four tiers of administration in Nigeria - Federal, Zonal, State, and Local governments

[2] Nigeria will have six geo-political zones, with each being made up of seven states. Our constitution will prohibit the creation of any more states after these 42

[3] As part of this restructure, we will abolish the federal allocation regime and replace it with resource control under which states will remain the federating units. Revenue distribution will be as follows - States: 50%; Federation account: 20%; Geo-political zones: 15%; National trust fund: 15%. We shall gradually migrate towards this to achieve our targeted goal by 2040

[4] Geopolitical zones will be responsible for maintaining regional police forces to augment the activities of the Nigerian Police Force

[5] Each geopolitical zone will be constitutionally obliged to generate, distribute, and transmit electricity within its domain

[6] Every year, the chairman of the geopolitical zone will rotate among the six governors within it. A chief executive will be appointed to manage what will be a civil service structure

[7] Ultimate authority for the governing of each geo-political zone rests with the committee of governors. There will also be committees of commissioners to deal with matters such as education, health, housing, transport, security, etc

[8] Each geopolitical zone authority will be responsible for secondary specialist healthcare. They will build specialist hospitals in areas such as oncology, H|V/Aids, renal failure, dementia, reproductive health, dermatology, etc

NELFUND Condemns Unethical Practices by Some Tertiary Institutions

The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has noted with concern reports of some tertiary institutions delaying or refusing to refund students whose tuition fees had already been paid before NELFUND disbursements, as well as arbitrary increases in tuition and other institutional charges.

The Student Loan Scheme, an initiative of the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, was established to remove financial barriers to higher education, not to create additional burdens for Nigerian students.

NELFUND is engaging the affected institutions and relevant authorities to ensure that due refunds are made to eligible students and that institutional charges remain fair, transparent, and consistent with the objectives of the Scheme.

NELFUND remains committed to protecting the interests of students and preserving the integrity of this landmark national intervention.
