NATO is actively strengthening how the Alliance detects, tracks, and counters drone threats. That is exactly what the Layered Counter-UAS Initiative (LCI-X) is designed to support.

As one of NATO - Allied Command Transformation (ACT)’s 2026 Beacon Projects, LCI-X brings together Allied nations, NATO commands, industry, and innovation actors to test how sensors, command-and-control systems, electronic warfare tools, and effectors can work together under realistic operational conditions. The initiative is designed to identify integration challenges early, refine operational concepts, and accelerate the path from experimentation to usable capability.

LCI-X reflects a broader shift in how NATO approaches innovation: testing, learning, adapting, and integrating at the speed in order to gain practical military advantage.

05.05.2026 Meeting with senior official of UK Ministry of Defence

The Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, met today with Lord Coaker, a senior official of the Ministry of Defence of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, who is on an official visit to the Republic of Serbia.

The meeting at the General Staff focused on the global and regional security situation, the modernization and transformation of the Serbian Armed Forces into a modern, respectable armed force, as well as on opportunities for cooperation between the Serbian Armed Forces and the British Armed Forces. The meeting was also attended by the UK Ambassador to Serbia, H.E. Edward Ferguson.

The two officials highlighted as successful the joint participation of members of the two armed forces in the United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus (UNFICYP), as well as the participation of British soldiers in Platinum Wolf exercises, which are held annually at Base South near Bujanovac.

General Mojsilović told Lord Coaker, Minister of State responsible for international relations and defence diplomacy, that the Serbian Armed Forces remain open to cooperation with all partners, provided that Serbia’s military neutrality is respected.

Addressing the situation in the southern Serbian province, the Chief of the General Staff emphasized that the Serbian Armed Forces, as a credible and reliable partner, consistently adhere to the Military Technical Agreement and all other signed agreements, and that, in line with United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244, NATO Kosovo Force - KFOR is recognized as the sole legitimate armed formation in Kosovo and Metohija.

Додела годишњих награда за најбољи научноистраживачки пројекат и најбољу докторску дисертацију у Министарство одбране и Војска Србије за 2025. годину одржана је 21. априла 2026. године у Свечаној сали Дома Војске Србије у Београду (ул. Браће Југовића 19), са почетком у 12.00 часова.

Годишње награде уручио је вршилац дужности помоћника министра за политику одбране Предраг Бандић.

У оквиру доделе годишњих награда презентовани су остварени резултати научноистраживачких организација и војних установа које обављају научноистраживачку делатност, у виду паноа, видео презентација, публикација, експоната и слично.

На промоцији резултата НИД-а учествовао је и Технички опитни центар са својим истраживачима и том приликом презентовао своје досадашње резултате рада са акцентом на Зборник радова у 2025. години. Поставку је обишао вршилац дужности помоћника министра за политику одбране Предраг Бандић у пратњи пуковника др Дејана Стојковића начелника Управе за стратегијско планирање. Дочекао их је Начелник Управе за развој и опремање бригадни генерал Станисав Мијаиловић том приликом су им истрааживачи опитног центра презентовали електронско издање Зборника радова на LCD екрану са линковима ка сваком раду понаособ. Разговарало се о условима у којима се одвија научноистраживачка делатност и могућим побољшањима у овој веома битној теми за научноистраживачке организације и целу војску.
