🛵 Left-Handed Girl is the touching solo directorial debut of Shih-Ching Tsou, who, together with her longtime collaborator Sean Baker, presents a restrained yet layered family drama.

Set in Taipei, the film is strongly autobiographical: Tsou draws on her own childhood memories and the cultural tensions within her family. The film had its world premiere at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival’s Critics’ Week, where it won the Gan Foundation Award for Distribution, and it was selected as Taiwan’s submission for the Academy Award for Best International Feature Film.

🎭 Zestig jaar lang had koningin Elizabeth II elke week een onderhoud onder vier ogen met al haar twaalf premiers. De naam van deze gesprekken: The Audience.

Voor het eerst in meer dan 10 jaar terug op het witte doek, met Helen Mirren als koningin Elizabeth II in de met een Olivier en een Tony Award gelauwerde hitproductie, geregisseerd door Stephen Daldry. Peter Morgans Netflix-sensatie The Crown was gebaseerd op deze toneelhit, in 2013 live gefilmd in de Londense West End, die een van de meest bekeken NT Live-producties ooit werd.

🎸 The Last Viking is the latest dark-comic film from Danish director and screenwriter Anders Thomas Jensen, known for titles such as Riders of Justice and Adam’s Apples.

For this sixth collaboration with his trusted actors, Jensen once again pulls out all the stops between absurdity and tenderness. With Nikolaj Lie Kaas as the determined Anker and Mads Mikkelsen as his chaotic brother Manfred, the film follows their bizarre quest for a stolen haul. Jensen combines his trademark absurd humour with deep human emotions.
