One of the key aspects of car detailing is protecting your vehicle's paintwork. Here are some additional tips and tricks to help you keep your car's exterior in pristine condition:
- Regular washing: Wash your car regularly to remove dirt, grime, and contaminants that can damage the paint. Ideally, wash your car every two weeks or more frequently if it's exposed to harsh elements or driving conditions. Use a high-quality car shampoo and a microfiber wash mitt for a gentle yet effective clean.
- Drying techniques: After washing, use a microfiber drying towel or a waffle-weave drying towel to dry the car. Avoid air-drying or leaving water droplets to evaporate on the surface, as they can leave water spots and mineral deposits.
- Paint protection film (PPF): Consider applying a paint protection film to high-impact areas like the front bumper, hood, and side mirrors. PPF provides an extra layer of protection against stone chips, scratches, and other minor damages. It's transparent and can be professionally installed or applied as a DIY project.
