After a lovely break away from New Zealand I've decided to become an independent Norse reenactor for the time being. All the best to all of you.

Stopped in at Lindisfarne while on holiday. Spoke with the archaeologists working on the Priory dig. They had uncovered the earth to the priory from 793AD. I was shown skeletal remains dated from after the first June raids. Also went into museum and saw the Lindisfarne Domesday Stone or Viking Raider Stone.

As of today I am stepping down as Jarl of the New Zealand Norse, until a althing is called I am nominating Olrun as the next Jarl. The club as a whole can vote . I have spent to much time away from the club in the last year and a half to be the Jarl that the club should have leading it. At present the Hersir's committee will organize the club. I will still be part of the club but as a Hersir. Bless

HYATT
We as a club have been super fortunate this last year to have the use of Mt Albert primary school. They've asked for no hall hire fees which has been amazing. The opportunity to train two nights a week plus the use of the hall on weekends.
I think its time we gave a little back to the school and community. Mt Albert primary school is holding a Carnival fundraiser on Friday 22nd November,4pm-8pm. Gregory would like to set up a stall and an area for displays. Combat displays, kubb, papersword or poolnoodle combat. Kids battle Christmas style. Who would be interested in giving back to the school and community.
