Patricia Brickell's warm and colourful opening night was a treat! Loved hearing her artist talk around the simplicity of enjoying the painting process.

There are 2 spaces available for Patricia's Impressionism workshop tomorrow (Friday 29th), 11-3 only $25 all materials provided. If you have ever wanted a fun, freeing and expressive hands on paint workshop this is perfect for you! Please email [email protected] to book in!

Spanning a lifetime, Patricia's method is to overwork paintings until it is time to let them go. Each gallery room is filled with her beautiful expressive art alongside meaningful poetry.

Come along this Friday for the opening event, given the sunny break in the weather we are having a BBQ 🤩

5-7pm this Friday 22nd May. 5:30pm Patricia will be doing an artist talk and tour through her work.

Manaaki te katoa - be kind to all 🫶

'PAINT IT PINK'
Standing with the faces of youth in our community makes me a proud supporter of Pink Shirt Day, bullying awareness. Our Art Centre is a safe creative space where individuals can build identity.

'Paint it Pink' this afternoon 3:30-4:30, free pop in and make something Pink! Air dry clay, painting, craft and all things 'Pink' 🩷 bring the kids after-school (no drop offs parents accompany) or just bring yourself!

What a delight to see a workshop room full of our after-school kids and teens portraiture 🤩

This week Claire Ellery took all groups through a variety of methods, from blind contour drawing, to tracing neighbors to self portraiture 😍 and what a result! So many expressions of self and interpretations of peers, lots of laughs and giggles and intense focus!
