Sense and Sensibility G|132 minutes

Get ready to be swept away by the romance, heartache, and enduring charm of Sense and Sensibility. Based on Jane Austen's beloved novel, this beautiful new adaptation follows sisters
Elinor and Marianne Dashwood as they navigate the complexities of love, family, and society after their lives are suddenly turned upside down.

While Elinor embodies reason, restraint, and quiet strength, Marianne wears her heart on her sleeve, embracing passion and emotion at every turn. As each sister faces unexpected challenges and romantic entanglements, they discover that finding happiness often requires both sense and sensibility.

Filled with stunning period scenery, unforgettable characters, and Austen's trademark wit and insight, this fresh retelling promises to captivate longtime fans and newcomers alike.

Whether you're a devoted Jane Austen reader or simply love a good romantic drama, Sense and Sensibility is set to be a cinematic experience that celebrates the power of love, family, and resilience.

Whale Fall - M| 106 minutes

Whalefall tells the story of Jay Gardiner, a young man struggling with grief, guilt, and the complicated legacy of his father. After being swallowed alive by a s***m whale, Jay finds himself in a desperate race against time, forced to confront the memories and emotions he has spent years trying to escape.

Beautiful, intense, and deeply human, Whalefall is more than a survival story. It's a powerful exploration of family, forgiveness, and finding hope in the darkest of places.

Verity, Are you Team Manuscript or Team Letter?

Pick your side and experience the twist everyone is debating in MIRO this week.

When struggling, low-on-funds writer Lowen Ashleigh is hired to complete the remaining books of the paralysed, bestselling author Verity Crawford, she expects a straightforward job sorting through old notes in a secluded estate. Instead, she uncovers something far more dangerous: a hidden, unpublished autobiography detailing horrific, blood-chilling confessions that were never meant to see the light of day.

As Lowen grows closer to Verity’s grieving husband, Jeremy, she starts to suspect that danger is lurking in every corner of the house, and that the paralysed author upstairs might not be as helpless as she seems.

Led by an electrifying cast featuring Anne Hathaway, Dakota Johnson, and Josh Hartnett, VERITY is a slow-burn descent into moral terror, gaslit obsession, and chilling domestic deceit.

Bring your friends, hold your breath, and experience the psychological thriller everyone is talking about on the ultimate canvas: the big screen.

New at MIRO this week:

Big Girls Don’t Cry

Rural New Zealand, 2006. Over one blistering, transformative summer, 14-year-old Sid Bookman is caught in the chaotic crossfire of growing up. As she grapples with her own burgeoning desires and a desperate longing to fit in, she falls headfirst into the orbit of an older, rebellious group of girls, imitating the people she desperately wants to be loved by.

Armed with dial-up internet, wild ambitions, and a dangerous streak of experimentation, Sid dives deep into a world of adolescent rebellion that slowly leaves a trail of emotional wreckage in its wake.

Anchored by a stunning breakout performance from newcomer Ani Palmer alongside Rain Spencer and Noah Taylor, BIG GIRLS DON'T CRY is a deeply moving, brutally honest, and visceral look at identity, obsession, and the terrifying beauty of youth.
