The Moon is Upside Down, written and directed by New Zealand filmmaker, Loren Taylor, has been chosen as one of ten international films for the Best Non-U.S. Release at this year's Online Film Critics Society Awards. Comprised of nearly 300 voting members from around the world, the Online Film Critics Society was founded in 1997. Members include writers from outlets such as Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, Slant, Paste Magazine, AARP, and Sight & Sound.

The OFCS recognizes a slate of ten international films as the best releases outside the U.S. in 2024. Among those titles are Acting by Sophie Fiennes, Silver Bear winner Dying and Kiyoshi Kurosawa’s Cloud. Anora won best picture.
