Matthew 14:28–31 (NIV)

Peter saw Jesus walking on the water and, in faith, asked to join Him. Jesus invited him to step out of the boat. Peter began walking on the water toward Jesus, but when he became afraid of the wind and waves, he started to sink. He cried out for help, and Jesus immediately rescued him, gently reminding him that doubt can shake even strong faith.
