Windang

Windang WINDANG the musical was first staged in 2002 . Written by Sheila Gamo and music by Norrie Lopez, it is about the ill effects of drug addiction to society.

Windang the musical is an original musical play under SUPERVOICE written, directed & choreographed by Sheila Gamo, with original songs by Honorio Lopez, Jr. It's first run was in 2002 for SV's second batch of scholars. From then on it has gone all over the Philippines, spreading hope of change for drug dependents and the people around them. In 2004, Windang was performed at the Concert at the Park

and was featured in Manila Bulletin. from 2003 - 2005, Windang has been endorsed by the Department of Education in Manila, for viewing of all public and private schools. In 2004, it was performed at the World Trade Center, for the World Bazaar Festival. In 2005, Windang was sponsored by the National Commission for Culture and the arts. In 2006, Windang was one of the reasons for SUPERVOICE's award as OUTSTANDING YOUTH ORGANIZATION awarded by Mayor Lito Atienza at the Manila City hall. In 2011, Windang was used to inspire the youth members of the Government Internship Program under the Youth Development and Welfare Bureau of Manila City hall. and just recently, Windang was one of the featured performances at the PASINAYA festival at the Cultural Center of the Philippines.
