“Guilty Until Proven Innocent”
Guilty Until Proven Innocent: an inspiration from the play “Fourteen” by Alice Gerstenberg in the 1920s. The class translated and added updated wit and humor to the
story. Set in the modern age, Janet Pringle, hosts yet another grand party for the rich and powerful people in the Philippines in able to get her daughter a rich husband. Guilty Until Proven Innocent tackles the serious issue of greed among politicians and non-politicians alike. Guilty Until Proven Innocent will be directed by April Grace Tarrobal.
“St. Anthony, Pray For Us”
St. Anthony, Pray for Us: written by Liza Magtoto in 2001. The class will stage the play dedicated to remind us of our unseen angels. Toinette is a mother who becomes irritable and panicky after her Yaya Narcy left. As the saying goes, “Haste makes waste,” as she haste for work, it seems as if she’s losing everything and unable to find anything without the help of the angel at all. The angel grows tired of her and calls out to St. Anthony for help. Anthony, Pray for Us will be directed by Ynna Santos.
