**GO FUND ME – WEEK 9 UPDATE**

Hello all…

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and didn’t overdose too much on turkey, stuffing and pumpkin pie. I also hope your time with family and friends was a relaxing and joyful experience. We’re still making progress towards the Go Fund Me finish line. In the next week I’m going to be launching a special Bad Axe Theatre Movie Rewards Club that I know will bring us even closer to the end goal. This is something that I think is pretty cool, and I’ll be giving out the details very soon. But in the meantime, I wanted to keep with the Thanksgiving tradition and just send out my deepest appreciation and gratitude to all of you that have been so generous and thoughtful to myself and the theatre these past few weeks. You’re the reason that this theatre WILL survive and we will get through this rough patch. Thank you to the regulars that show up every week to watch what’s playing and always stop at the concession stand to grab their snacks on the way in. You are much appreciated, and hearing you tell me how important the theatre has been to you is a very inspirational thing for me to hear. I’m indebted to you all, and you’re what I’m thankful for this year and every year. Without all of you, there would be no theatre. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of your support, whether it’s by donation or simply coming to the movies, you’re keeping the theatre alive. I hope to see you all here very soon!

This is what it’s all about, folks. It’s put into words so eloquently by Tom Cruise exactly why movies and movie theatres are such an important piece of American culture, as well as so many other cultures around the world; and how movies have the ability to change lives in ways you may not even realize when you’re watching them. We have no less than three people from Bad Axe who are in the movie business, and that were inspired by the films they watched at our little theatre. I think that's pretty cool! If you have a few minutes, just take a listen to what Mr. Cruise has to say. If you want to skip forward to the 5:57 mark, that’s when he starts speaking about what making movies and the art form as a whole means to him. I wish I had the ability to express myself as passionately as he does, so I’m just going to let him do the talking. Remember to keep your hometown theatre alive!

*GO FUND ME – WEEK 6 UPDATE*

Hello everybody…

I wanted to give everyone an update regarding the money raised for the theatre fund. We are now up to $22,488.00 on the GFM site, as well as another $8,000.00 in walk-in donations. That brings us to 38% of our goal. That’s amazing! I cannot express my immense gratitude to everyone who has donated, as well as the ones who have let me know how much the theatre means to them. I met with the bank on Monday, and they said they were willing to work with me to extend the deadline (for a little while anyway) of foreclosure. If we are able to raise another $26,000.00 by Thanksgiving weekend, foreclosure proceedings would halt, and the pressure of raising the full $80,000.00 would lighten up a little bit. Whatever you can do to support your hometown theatre, whether it’s making a donation, coming to see a movie, or maybe even stopping by to buy some popcorn for a snack, please do it soon. We're still giving away the Golden Tickets for free admission for one year to anybody making a donation of $500.00, as well as free admission and free popcorn and soda for one year to anybody making a donation of $1000.00. Show your support however you can. I promise that WHEN we get through this, the upcoming year will have many new events on the horizon. Not only movies, but live shows as well as other fun ideas for the town. I’m very excited for what is to come and I believe 100% that we will get through this and achieve our goal! Thank you all again for your unwavering support.

What a great turnout tonight! Thank you to everyone who stopped by the theatre tonight. It was fun seeing all of the creative costumes and kids filling their Halloween bags. Don't forget to use the coupons on the popcorn bags we gave out. We'll see you again next year.

Hello folks...

I know this post is a little late but we're gonna be doing our yearly Halloween candy handout at the Bad Axe Theatre. Bring in your little ones and get our popcorn bags, as well as mini candy bars and theatre coupons for future visits. We'll also be taking pics of the costumes the kiddos wear for the page. I hope to see you all here and have a Happy Halloween!!

**GO FUND ME – WEEK 3 – DEEP POCKETS & DEADLINES**

Hello again everyone!! Another week has gone by, and we are currently at 25% of our goal! That’s pretty amazing for three weeks. I have had more walk-in donations, as well as the online folks giving what they can. Again, I can’t say thank you enough. It’s been a very overwhelming experience seeing everyone’s generosity during this fundraiser. Now there are time constraints in play for this to work. I would like to put a cap on the Go Fund Me of December 31st. If we reach our goal by then, everything can be taken care of financially. But next month there is another deadline that needs to be reached. By November 14th we will need to raise another $40,000.00 of the $80,000.00 that's being requested, otherwise the bank will be ready to close the business (that's $40,000.00 of the $80,000.00 that's being requested, NOT $40,000.00 on top of what's already being requested). I have more time for the property taxes, but the bank is getting antsy. That’s where I’m asking folks that haven’t given yet to give what they can. If your pockets are deep, reach in as far as you can and donate. I’m certainly not complaining. I’m seeing more love shown for this place than ever. I’m thankful to you all for that. But I believe we can meet this goal, no matter the size, so please share this with as many people as possible! Thank you all for taking the time to read this post, and I hope to see you soon.
