Time for some Monstrous fun facts about our upcoming movie, 2005's CONSTANTINE!

Constantine creator Alan Moore refused any credit in the film (following negative experiences with Hollywood adaptations of From Hell and League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.) He gave all the money he would've gotten to the artists who drew the character with him (Stephen R. Bissette and John Totleben.)

The design for the "Vermin Man" was in part inspired by the 16th century Italian artist Giuseppe Arcimboldo, whose work featured faces created from fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

Peter Stormare designed the look of his Lucifer costume himself. The white linen suit with black tar seeping from the bottom was a big departure from what the costume department originally had planned.

The look of Hell was based on old footage of nuclear tests, specifically the sudden shockwave immediately after the blast that disintegrated anything in its path, hence the crumbling landscape.
