On October 1, join Emmy-winning journalist David Pogue for a fascinating conversation with three leading experts on the surprising connections between climate and human health, from cancer and air pollution to childhood asthma and the food we grow.

You'll leave seeing one of the biggest issues of our time through an entirely new lens, with practical ways to protect your family, your community, and the places you love.

How do we disagree without losing sight of what unites us?

Join us for an intimate evening with veteran journalist Carol Lin, in conversation with Bedford resident , as they explore journalism, resilience, loss, and the stories that shape our lives.

will share exclusive footage from inside the CNN global newsroom in the moments following 9/11, offering a rare look at how journalists responded as the biggest breaking news story of our time unfolded—including the moment her teleprompter went blank as she prepared to tell the world what had happened.

The conversation will also explore Carol’s debut memoir, When News Breaks: A Memoir of Love and War, including:
• Reporting from the Pakistan/Afghanistan border and confronting the realities of war
• Meeting a Taliban fighter face-to-face
• Covering defining stories from the Middle East to the Olympics and the O.J. Simpson trial
• Being, at times, the only Asian American woman in the newsroom
• The personal cost of pursuing the story—and what happens when life delivers its own breaking news

Beyond journalism, Carol and Betsy share a deeply personal connection: both experienced the sudden loss of their husbands and navigated single parenthood while building new lives for their children.

An evening about what happens when the world changes in an instant—and how we find the courage to keep going.

Today, we remember Dolly Parton—an artist whose music, humor, warmth, and generosity touched generations.

From “Jolene” and “9 to 5” to “I Will Always Love You,” Dolly gave the world songs that became part of our collective soundtrack, while her kindness and commitment to giving back made her legacy so much bigger than music.

Thank you, Dolly, for a lifetime of making the world a little brighter. 💕🎶
