Broken Symmetry breakfast sandwiches available to purchase. A selection of few will unveil golden tickets! If you find a golden ticket you’ll get a movie ticket, popcorn, and drink! Frank has also offered behind the scenes tours for winners, but I warn you these will include more complaining and risk (marquee changing, anyone?) than anything Mr. Wonka offered.

Join us Saturday, June 27th for a special event featuring a short film, two short plays, and readings from Chris Belden’s book of prison writings from the Garner Players: Daweed Ben-Yehuda, Felipe Colón, Jamal Gaines, Marquis Jackson, Floyd Lawrence, and Lex Melendez with Mark Aldrich, Chris Belden, and Beth Young.

The Garner Players theater troupe was established in 2009 at Garner Correctional Institution, a maximum-security prison in Newtown CT, in order to foster creativity, teamwork & a true sense of rehabilitation. Like the real-life characters depicted in the hit film Sing Sing, the Garner Players wrote, produced, directed & starred in numerous productions for more than a decade.

In one month Danbury Music Centre and Danbury Vaudeville Orchestra return to pair live music with three classic silent films.

An entertaining event for film lovers, music fans, and families.

The Immigrant, starring Charlie Chaplin- Chaplin’s famous “Little Tramp” character arrives in America and navigates the chaos and hope of a new beginning.

Big Business, featuring Laurel and Hardy – A simple Christmas tree sales visit spirals into one of silent comedy’s great neighborhood disasters.

One Week, starring Buster Keaton- Newlyweds attempt to build a mail-order house with predictably disastrous and hilarious results.

The music, performed live, with an authentic score curated by Danbury Vaudeville Orchestra director, Michael Bank.

All proceeds will benefit the programs of the Danbury Music Centre and will help provide scholarships for our youth arts programs.
