The Midway Theater & Cultural Event Center The Midway Theater was constructed in 1916 by G.G. Burr. Louis Vogt, an attorney and businessman, was the major influence to it becoming a cultural center

We are working to reopen the 1916 Midway Theater in Burlington, Colorado. The historic downtown building is requiring a major renovation along with a digital movie system All your help through volunteering your time and pledging your support to the cause is invaluable to this community project.

The Midway Theater will be closed July 27 – August 6 so our volunteers and staff can enjoy and support the Kit Carson County Fair & Rodeo.

We hope you'll have a wonderful week celebrating one of our community's favorite traditions! Thank you for your continued support of our volunteer-run theater.
