Seen at the Crandell!

On Wednesday, August 27, a contingent of wannabe Minions made people smile as they walked to the Crandell Theater, 48 Main Street, and delighted theater staff and other movie goers. Addy Carmichael (center) is a huge Minions fan so what better way to celebrate his 21st birthday than seeing the new “Minions & Monsters” film with his favorite people. Also pictured are family members and friends Van Calhoun, Sue Senecah, Mr. Carmichael's sister Coco Carmichael and mother Suzy Lutz.

This Labor Day Weekend, on Saturday, 9/5, at 1pm: See the hilarious capers of Dog Man, Petey the Cat and Lil Petey in "Dog Man."

This is a bonus showing of our Kid Flicks Summer Series, which is free for children under age 12 (with a mini popcorn) thanks to support from the Hudson Valley Foundation for Youth Health.

Arrive at 12:30pm and learn to draw Dog Man and other characters in the film!

PARKING FOR SATURDAY'S SHOW: The Chatham Labor Day Parade will march through Chatham this coming Saturday morning, 9/5/26. Many of the streets right by the theater will be closed from 9:30am to 12:30pm, so please leave extra time to park. The drawing activity can be joined at any time and will last until just after 1pm.

A faithful police dog and his human police officer owner are injured together on the job and a harebrained but life-saving surgery fuses the two of them together.

Next Thursday, 9/10/26 at 7pm: "Wild Inside," the amazing (and sobering) true story of Flaco the eagle-owl, who escaped from a vandal-made hole in his enclosure at NYC's Central Park Zoo.

Celebrated director Penny Lane will join us after the screening for a Q+A about her film.

A Note to Parents: This film is not recommended for very young children or sensitive animal lovers who may find the details of Flaco's full life story upsetting.

A Eurasian Eagle-Owl named Flaco escapes from the Central Park Zoo and sets off on a magical odyssey through the island of Manhattan.

This Thursday, Sept. 3 at 7pm: Come out to the Crandell and see a new coming-of-age comedy, written and produced by Chatham's Maylen Dominguez. She and the film's young star Hank Greenspan ("The Neighborhood," on CBS) will be on hand after the screening for a Q&A. Find out from a young actor what it was like to audition and star in Menemsha Films' "Ethan Bloom."

The Crandell packed them in for a sell-out event last night celebrating investigative journalism and a screening of All The President's Men, celebrating its 50th anniversary. Many, many thanks to WAMC Northeast Public Radio CEO Sarah Gilbert and "The Roundtable" host Joe Donahue, and to the distinguished panel: Marty Baron, former executive editor of ; award-winning filmmaker Anne Alvergue; Fred Rutberg, former publisher of The Berkshire Eagle; and Benjamin Ginsberg, Republican political strategist.

This Saturday, Aug. 22, starting at 12:30pm: Come out for a fun fishbowl craft and the Summer Kid Flicks showing of Miyazaki's classic, "Ponyo!" Children under 12 are free and receive a free small popcorn (when accompanied by an adult).
